On tap at Brewdog Camden, London. Pours a deep dark brown colour with a small beige head. Foam dissipates fairly quickly. Aroma is on the sweet side and extremely deep and complex. Booze, cooffee, toffee, caramel, wood, porto wine. Taste follows the nose: big cold complex sweet flavors. Vanilla, booze, caramel and coffee. Mouthfeel is medium to full, quite sticky, with soft carbonation. Overall, definitely great brew, even if I’d expect more bitter roasty notes coming out of a porter.

33cl bottle at Amundsen. Batch 176. Bottled on 2011-11-05. Bøack colour with a slight red hue and a small to non-existant head. Aroma is dark fruits, malts, oak and hints of rum. Some alcohol. Flavour is full and complex. Notes of fruits, leather, malts, syrup, molasses as well as some oak and rum. Some citrus. Suprisingly the alcohol is not noticable, even at 11.5% abv. Medium long aftertaste.

Bottle shared at Brasserie 4:20. I was pleasantly surprised by this beer after looking at the ratings. Clear amber pour with a fleeting white head. Big rum nose. A little thin in the body with decent carbonation. Lots of caramel, spiced rum, some vanilla, malts, and just a hint of Dr. Pepper. Really this porter is very good...

17/04/2012 330ml bottle, shared by Federico & Edo (Faber) @ Brasserie 4:20. Thank you! Gran bella birra!

Bottle from systembolaget. Chocolate, oak and sweet taste with a boozey rum finnish. A bit to thin and boozey for my taste but still nice to sip at.

Bottle @Viisi Penniä, Helsinki. Poured dark brown with a thin white head. Aroma has rum, portwine notes, raisin and wood. Flavor is similar, dark fruity, raisin, sweet dessert wine, St.John Commandaria coming to mind. Long sweet dark fruity finish. Alcohol well hidden. Smooth moutfheel, full bodied. The rum is more evident in the aroma.

Pours dark with low head that disappears after a minute aromas of coffee, plums, some rum and hints of chocolate. medium thin and quite sticky palate. somewaht creamy. touch of bitterness in the end. quite sweet imperial stout. the caskyness is present and I guess the rum cask help out making the sweetness more present. overall a very good imperial stout.

Bottle from Mane Liquor. A dark, almost opaque ruby to brown pour with a small yellow head which quickly disappears. Nose is loads of sweet caramel with a large hit of rum and dark/dried fruits. Reminds me a lot of something like rum ’n’ raisin ice cream. Taste is massive on the rum. Heavy sweetness and dark fruits which work very well together. Loads of heavy caramel flavours with liquorice on the finish. Mouth feel is slick reminding me of rum but seems to taper off a little quickly. Woody finish. Cool beer. Very rum forward but works together nicely

Pour dark, almost opaque brown, with a very small and fizzy, off.white head. Aroma of roast, plums, dates, rum, wood, vanilla, caramel, toffee. Plenty of nice sweet rum on the nose. Taste is quite sweet, with a tiny roasted finish. Round this up quite well. Medium body, with a semi-flat carb. I really like this rum flavor and aroma. Sweet and smooth.

Dark brown with a fizzy brown head. Smells of cherry, rum roast malt. Medium sticky body. Taste of berry, rum, dark roasted mealt, caramel, ash. Starts off sweet and moves to a tummy warming spirit finish. Nice novolty.
