Pours dark brown with offwhite head. Aromas of toffee, raisins and rum with small notes of oak and vanilla. Tastes of some chocolate, toffee, raisins, rum and a touch of oak with a long lasting aftertaste of rum and maybe soft licorice notes. Rather sweet throughout with very nice sipping qualities from the alcohol warmth provided by the rum.

Pours dark brown almost black with a thin off white head. Nose is wet dog, cat food and day old trash with high notes of rubbing alcohol. As it warms, get notes of toffee, almonds, raisins and honey. Rich Flavor is sweet throughout with minimal bitter. Mouthfeel is soft and creamy. Long aftertaste. Itís good. Not 20euro good, but good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

330ml bottle (Kaisla, Helsinki)
Slight raisin aroma, soft palate. Portwiney. Smooth palate. Gentle carbonation. A bit sweet and sticky, but also a touch plasticky. Those flaws however, are minor compared to the pleasant aspects of the beer. Itís quite mellow, not boozy at all. A pleasant sipper. Better than any Lost Abbey that I remember, but still an accident in a sugar factory.
