4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
11.2 ounce bottle. Pours a cloudy orange color with a medium sized creamy white head that leaves decent lacing. The aroma is rather sweet with a large burst of hops. I mainly get ripe fruits, floral and citrus. The flavor has a nice balance between sweet caramel malts, fruits centering on citrus, orange peel, ripe peaches, with a nice bitter bite at the back. The finish is bitter and dry. Full bodied with a creamy mouthfeel. I have not been overly impressed with many Brewdog beers including Hardcore IPA (maybe this is a great collaboration for both), but this is a very nice Imperial IPA I would certainly drink again.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Capone’s. Pours turbid deep coppery Carolina mud color with sticky off-white head. Nose is big resiny tropical fruity tennic hops, caramel malt. Tastes rich, veru resiny, tropical fruity, with grapefruit, pineapple, and a very IBU-laden finish. Starts hoppy, stays hoppy, and gets a bit drier and hotter late.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
(bottle, 33cl) Slightly hazy, amber colour with a light-beige medium-sized foamy head. Intensively piney and fruity hoppy aroma with notes of cara-malt and traces of cough syrup. Bitter-sweet flavour, medium to full bodied with a soft carbonation. Hearty (cara-)malty taste with intensively fruity hoppy notes of apricots, passion fruit and pine apples; bitter sweet long lasting finish with notes of pineapples and cough syrup in the aftertaste. The alcohol is warming but also well-hidden. Extremely good. 23.III.11

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
12 oz bottle
At $6.99 for twelve ounces this was expensive but not too bad for a collaboration between two European brewers that was sitting on the shelf of an Ohio beer store. After making sure it was still fresh I grabbed one - after all Mikkeller hasn’t let me down even if their beers do sometimes leave the wallet quite a bit lighter.
Aroma / Appearance - Semitransparent orange liquid bobbed and swirled around my glass. Some lacing indicated a bit of alcohol was present but was not oily and sticky. There may have been traces of carbonation - I could not tell as it was just dark enough to mask any activity. Warm roses, floral hops, oranges, lemons, and a balanced amount of malts and hops made this strong, assertive, and bright.
Flavor / Palate - Rosy flavors warm the tongue. Brightening all the senses it proceeds to then hit the throat with a barrage of resiny hops, floral aspects, and alcohol. Slowly building to a crescendo the result is a fantastic imperial IPA. It might be one that I won’t buy more of because I can’t drink it fast enough. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t grab a fresh bottle while you can.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a cloudy amber with a thin, soapy beige head that has decent retention and leaves many tiny specs of lacing. Aroma is big on citrus and resinous hops, tropical fruit and floral notes, vanilla, a hint of toast and sweet caramel. Flavor is sweet malt, passion fruit heavy tropical notes, berry scented soap, caramel, straw, sort of heavy bready yeast and resinous notes to the finish. Palate is heavy bodied with an oily entry and dry, but oily finish and light, but fervent carbonation.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle->tulip: pours a huge, rocky, light brown head that exhibits good lacing atop a very murky, dark orange body. Aroma of hops, hops, and hops, along with a very pleasing sweetness. The body is full, starting out mildly sweet, ending slightly astringent with the aftertaste lingering between sips. This beer is pure enjoyment from start to finish.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
hazy orange with a pillowy white head. citrus aroma slightly diminished by the booze notes, but still really nice. Really nice hop taste that ramps up quickly. Very resinous feel in the mouth, leaving a nice sticky bitter finish. pretty tasty, but i think i like the blended beers better by themselves
