English: I Hardcore You is a 9.5% Imperial India Pale Ale, an international collaborative effort between 2 of Europe’s most rock ’n roll brewers. This beer is a blend of BrewDog’s Hardcore IPA and Mikkeller’s I Beat You. After the blending, the beer was then dry hopped a further twice. Making I Hardcore You a beer which has been dry hopped four times, or maybe even six times. We kinda lost count.

11.2oz bottle into my Orval glass...Pours a medium copper that is very muddy. A light tan head that rises about a finger but falls super fast to unveil a ring of head around the base, but decent lacing...At first the aroma is really nice, grapefruit and some awesome hops come through. Strangely the second and third whiffs are much hotter showing off a lot of pine and alcohol, especially as you go deeper. This strength is off at first but adds to a nice complexity in the aroma...The taste takes on the lesser qualities of the aroma coming off way to strong, tons of alcohol and pine show without a lot of complexity. A strong dipa, for sure, fairly successful European clone of an American beer. With there was a little sweetness and this could be excellent. Nice feeling, strong and sticky on the mouth. Pretty easy to drink after a few sips. A little too strong of a dipa, but worth giving a shot.

Pours a dark, clear, slightly mahogany-reddish amber with a thick, fairly persistent off-white head. Aroma is decently hoppy with an undertone of sweet apple and pear. Strongly hoppy flavor is fairly bitter but not nastily so and has a subtle fruity undertone with just a whisper of sweetness. Texture is rough and fizzy, leaving a fairly strong and persistent hoppy tingle.

From the bottle, pours a hazy brownish red with a thick foamy off-white head. Malty aroma, some alcohol. Taste is super malty, with a well balanced helping of hops. Not overly hoppy as the commercial description led me to believe. I wouldn’t know this is a 9.5% by taste, which could make it dangerous. Solid beer.

Very hazy deep copper coloured body with an amber glow and a thin tan and creamy head. Aroma of you guessed it - a ridiculous amount of hops, starting from pungent grapefruit and piney hops to more floral notes finally finishing with some hops that seem vaguely sweet! Full-bodied; Deep strong hop flavour with a lot of pine and pungent resiny flavours, a lot of malt, a good amount of caramel sweetness, a lot of drying oak and a ton more hops on the finish - strong as hell. Aftertaste is bitingly hoppy, but in a good way, and the balance is there with a good amount of complexity for the style. Overall, a nice Imperial IPA and definitely one worth sampling if you can find it! I sampled this twelve ounce (or is it 330 mL) bottle purchased from Liquor Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 10-October-2010 sampled at home in Washington after running the SunTrust Marathon on 26-Mach-2011.

11.2 oz. bottle- Pours cloudy dark orange with a thin white head, aroma is citrusy hops and not much else. The flavor is sweet citrus with pine and orange also, better than the I beat yoU only because it is lighter and more palatable, don’t get me wrong, this is massive amounts of hops, but it has more of a sessionability to it. Overall for the price I will go with an American IIPA, which I actually prefer anyway.

Bottle. Amber, small to average and fully diminishing head. Moderate, malty and caramel sweetish fruity aroma, sweet grapefruit hoppyness, some alcohol. Body is medium to full, malty and caramel sweetish flavor, fruitiness and grapefruit hoppyness. Finish is average, malty and sweetish, caramel and hoppyness, lots of alcohol. Caramel sweetish DIPA with lots of alcohol in the flavor/finish.

11.2 ounce bottle. Pours a cloudy orange color with a medium sized creamy white head that leaves decent lacing. The aroma is rather sweet with a large burst of hops. I mainly get ripe fruits, floral and citrus. The flavor has a nice balance between sweet caramel malts, fruits centering on citrus, orange peel, ripe peaches, with a nice bitter bite at the back. The finish is bitter and dry. Full bodied with a creamy mouthfeel. I have not been overly impressed with many Brewdog beers including Hardcore IPA (maybe this is a great collaboration for both), but this is a very nice Imperial IPA I would certainly drink again.
