English: I Hardcore You is a 9.5% Imperial India Pale Ale, an international collaborative effort between 2 of Europe’s most rock ’n roll brewers. This beer is a blend of BrewDog’s Hardcore IPA and Mikkeller’s I Beat You. After the blending, the beer was then dry hopped a further twice. Making I Hardcore You a beer which has been dry hopped four times, or maybe even six times. We kinda lost count.

Very good, fine yellow head over veiled amber-orange beer. Grapey aroma, cake, some nutmeg and fresh baconfat. Very present rich-estery hoppy nose. Bitter, resiny, grapey flavour with again meaty/fruity esters behind; X-mas pudding; mandarines retronasal. Rich body, viscous, warming. Long petering out of the main taste. Quite good IIPA, certainly not the strongest, nor the bitterest, but rewarding.

Mikkeller hardcore you. Draft at bier temple amsterdam..... Pours murky medium caramel brown with a thin to medium soapy white...aroma of sweetened caramlozed cruit and pniapple juiciness. Mostly swee ... Flavors a supremely sweet with caramel/toffee with sweetened pineapple and tangerines with an assertive citrus rind bitterness. Syrupy bodied with medium carbonation. A little too sweet for me but ok. 7/4/8/3/14

Bottle at a tasting. Hazy orange with a white head. Hoppy aroma of citrus, some piney notes and some tropical fruits notes. Flavor has some slightly biscuity maltiness and a bit of caramel, continues bitter and hoppy with some citric notes. Medium-bodied. Tasty and pretty easy-drinking.

Tap på Cask Pub & Kitchen, Pimlico 4 Okt 10. Dyp rødbrun. OK luftig skum. Sterk fruktig aroma. Smaken er eksplosiv med mye frukt. Litt malt. Pærer. You name it. Toppøl.

Muddy orange in body appearance. Off-white patches on the surface. Powerful hoppy aroma with sweet dark malts behind. Heavy hopped with citric shells combined with sweet caramel malts and a spicy touch. Long-lived dry, bittersweet finish. Rather heavy too drink. A solid nightcap, it really was. Half pint from tap at Cask Pub & Kitchen, London 4 Oct 10.

Orange hued with a big head. Earthy flavor behind a hop explosion. This beer was phenomenal! I would compare it to Pliny the Elder. It was light on the palate and had a huge hop character to it. Don’t let this one pass you by if you have the chance.

Bottle:   Deep amber, orangish, dirty, fine sediment floats about, HUGE frothy off-white head, very nice lacing.   Rich citrus peel and citrus rind aroma, slight pine and hops.   Stright up hoppy, raw citrus rind/citrus peel, and piney flavor.   Not very sweet, not overly bitter.   Just a whole but of this rindish like flavors.   Not as heavy as I would have liked, and luckily not overly bitter either like so many IIPAs are.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full.   Wished it were a bit stickier, and along with that some sweetness to balance it out.   Hopheads would probably rejoice on this, but I like my IIPAs a tad bit sweeter, and maltier.   Very clean for what it is.   Very fresh, sharp, and bright.   Good, just wished it were a little more balanced.   Thanks to jtclockwork for the bottle!

11.2 oz. bottle. A slightly murky amber pour with a thick antique white head. A pungent aroma of fresh grapefruits, resiny Balsam firs, caramel, some biscuits, and a touch of lemon. Medium to full-bodied and sticky. Plenty of caramel and biscuity maltiness upfront in the taste. Lots of grapefruits and citrus rinds in the finish. A touch of pepper at the end. A mild spiciness is present throughout. Some warming alcohol is noticeable. Not the most complex brew, but everything is just done very well. Great, great stuff.

Bottle. Aroma is citrus hops and more hops. Notes of grapefruit, carmel, and toasted malts come out. Palate is chewy and thick. Flavor really brings out a simcoe hop and it finishes a bit dry. Very, very impressive.

330 ml bottle.
Pours a clear copper colour with a lacy, slightly off-white head. Aroma of fresh hops, flowers and some alcohol. Flavour of strong and fresh hops and alcohol with floral notes. Full bodied, warming mouthfeel. A DIPA done well.
