COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
English: I Hardcore You is a 9.5% Imperial India Pale Ale, an international collaborative effort between 2 of Europe’s most rock ’n roll brewers. This beer is a blend of BrewDog’s Hardcore IPA and Mikkeller’s I Beat You. After the blending, the beer was then dry hopped a further twice. Making I Hardcore You a beer which has been dry hopped four times, or maybe even six times. We kinda lost count.

Bottle from Hollingshead in Orange, CA. Pours a foggy, dark copper color with an amazing, thick, off-white head. Thick, hoppy aroma with some brown sugar, caramel, and a hint of grapefruit. Smooth and thick. Nice, deep hops in the flavor with some caramel in the background. Not too overpowering, and the alcohol is greatly masked. Easily, one of the BEST double IPA’s I have ever had. Simply. Amazing.

Pours a clear orange/dark amber color, topped with a very nice off-white head. Fruity and caramel aroma, not that strong. Taste starts fruity and quite sweet, followed by a fairly strong bitterness with sweetness there in the back all the time. Sweet finish, some herbal aftertaste. A weird combo of sweet and bitter, very strong but still drinkable.

Gedronken bij een proeverij van Plan b. De hardcore ipa met zijn zoetigheid word iets meer gebalanceerd door de i beat you. Lekker

After having Brew Dog's Hardcore IPA previously, this beer is even better. I Beat You has added some colourful fruits and malts, while retaining the moderate bitter hop finish of the Hardcore IPA.

Pours clear pale amber with two fingers of loose off-white head diminishing rapidly to a thin ring, no lacing. (3/5) Nose is pine resin, pithy citrus, tropical fruit, caramel malt. (8/10) Taste is moderate sweet, moderately strong bitter. (8/10) Medium to full body, low carbonation, moderately strong bitter finish. (4/5) Aww… Mikkel… I hardcore you too, buddy, but I’m not nearly drunk enough for that. Nice beer. Definitely better than Brew Dog’s Hardcore, but I can’t comment on how it compares to Mikkeller’s I Beat You since I haven’t tried that one. Lots of fun - plenty of dry hopping, backed up by a well-behaved caramel malt backbone. The lost-count-of-how-many-times dry hopping gives it a nice presence on the nose, but overall it’s not an aggressive palate wrecking hop bomb. I could go for another of these. (16/20)

A really good ipa. Heavy. Lots of hops and lots of malts. It’s quite filling. A boozy ipa that still has a sweet fruity flavor as well. Worth a try.
