COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
English: I Hardcore You is a 9.5% Imperial India Pale Ale, an international collaborative effort between 2 of Europe’s most rock ’n roll brewers. This beer is a blend of BrewDog’s Hardcore IPA and Mikkeller’s I Beat You. After the blending, the beer was then dry hopped a further twice. Making I Hardcore You a beer which has been dry hopped four times, or maybe even six times. We kinda lost count.

33cl bottle. Dark orange colour. Strong grapefruit hop aroma. Not as caramel malty as the colour may indicate, which is a good thing. Incredibly drinkable, the bitterness is not abrasive and the alcohol dangerously well hidden. Not a whole lot of complexity, just a great hoppy DIPA with a decent backbone.

11.2 bottle thanks to the sticker scratching AndyReynolds - a bouquet of citrus hops and such like minty fresh. Syrupy and bitter. Balanced and heavy.

Perfectly blended supple yet strong and powerful. Potent nose with great lacing and a big beaming head. Heaps of resiny pine whick is complex and delicous. Until recently the undisputed king of UK Imperial IPAs and still a worthy contender among its new rivals.

On tap at El Pedal. Off-white head with good retention. Hazy amber colour. Aroma is floral, citrus, caramel and tropical fruits. Flavour is complex, citrus (orange peel, grapefruit,), bitter, caramel, fruits. Full body medium oily palate. Excellent imperial IPA.

My ears are burning, and that’s just the first sip. Surprisingly, the malt still shines through this dense hop bomb. Orange body with a skin of off white head, pungent, almost sour aroma. Taste is very much pine resin, followed by burn. A hop lovers dream.

Poured from a 330 ml bottle with a best by date of July, 2015. Aroma is hoppy but with an herbal, woodsy, pine resin hoppiness with some medium light grapefruit notes. Not much fruitiness. Medium light caramel malt notes with hints of cracker and toasted bread. Pours a cloudy copper orange with a small white head that recedes to a thin film that lingers. Medium light lacing and small legs. Flavor is fairly sweet with a bit of a syrupy character. Fairly strong caramel notes with some light cracker malt notes. Moderate bitterness with medium light hop flavor of pine resin, dank woods and light grapefruit. A bit of alcohol spice in the finish. Mouthfeel is medium full bodied and fairly sticky with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, an alright beer but way too sweet and malt for my tastes. Hop profile is geared towards old school hops instead of the new fruity ones.

Bottle @ home. Pours with a dark orange slightly hazy colour, small white frothy head. Aroma is slightly malty, heavy hoppy, with heavy tropical notes. Nicely balanced. Taste is medium sweet, medium bitter, slightly sour. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation.
