Keg and bottled, special
In collaboration with the awesome Oskar Blues from Colorado, we’ve created this big, twisted 10.5% American style barley wine. With big boozy aromas that’ll swirl round your nostrils and a sweet viscosity that’ll cover your tongue from top to tip, this is a beer for people who enjoy nonsense and walking on tightropes. Even when the Circus packs up and leaves, you’re left with a lingering warmth and bitterness playing in your month. - See more at: http://www.brewdog.com/product/shipwrecker-circus#sthash.e9vrs12U.dpuf
Malts: Extra Pale, Munich, Crystal, Chocolate

Pours a very dark ruby red. It looks almost black until you hold it up to the light. A smattering of large bubbled off white head on top. Nose is milk chocolate, blackcurrant, sweet orange, and something slightly musty and chalky that I can’t quite pick. Flavor is pretty boozy, with lots of dried fruit, some caramel, redcurrant, and quite a bitter, very slightly piney and acrid finish. The sugar coats your lips as you drink and the beer is pretty heavy and viscous in the mouth. An interesting take on the barleywine. Not as sweet as the traditional versions, which much more hop flavor.

(Draught at Bishop’s Arms Folkungagatan, Stockholm, 7 March 2014) Dark ruby colour with dense, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with dried fruit, red berries, caramel and marzipan. Malty, fruity taste with notes of dried fruit, caramel, red fruit and a bitter-sweet finish. Full body, with a certain malt sweetness. Thick and velvety mouthfeel. Tasty, with a touch of warming of alcohol, but still fairly well balanced. Very nice.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines. Really enjoyed this. Deliciously boozy. Thick and sweet. Teeth wobbling. Throat asserting. Very hoppy, but the bitterness is balanced mit the schweetness.

BrewDog lager alt for mange forskjellige øl, men denne er verdt å gjenta. Dufter og smaker av fiken og krydder. Skibsreder Ovesen er i ferd med å feste fortøyningene, vi nesten ved veis ende for i kveld.
