5am Saint is The Holy Grail of red ales. We live in a world of disposable deities. Someone, somehow has managed to press that big, flashing moronic override button and we’re hard wired straight into the pockets of false idols trying to make a quick buck. Sadly, for a lot of people the same mentality applies to beer. But who’s to know what’s worth worshiping when monolithic advertising budgets have you sucked down the rabbit hole in the blink of an eye? At BrewDog we are on a mission to open as many people’s eyes as possible. Cast away any aspersions and let the crook of BrewDog be your guide in a whirlwind of conformity and mediocrity. Once this ruby liquid forms a foamy halo around your glass, you’ll never want to look back.

Cor ambar e espuma bege baixa e não persistente. Aroma frutado forte, maracujá e herbal. Sabor de lúpulo e malte tostado, gosto doce no começo e com pequeno amargor residual. Corpo médio e seco. Boa amber ale.

Kauge (124) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - SEP 3, 2014
Pours a near clear browish red with a big creamy white head and good lacing. Fresh hop aroma: floral, fruity, musky, berries, but also caramelly and very slightly spicy. Taste is grassy malts and caramel first, then builds up some moderate hop bitterness, but not overpowering the malts. Light to medium body, medium carbonation, slightly watery palate. Very enjoyable stuff - subtle, civilized, and definitely sessionable.

caramel, bread, fruits, citrus and a floral note in the aroma. Amber with a white head. Medium sweet and medium bitter. Medium body with a average carbonation. Overall a nice hoppy Amber Ale with some character.

This is everything a red ale should be. Great brown bread and caramel aromas. Flavors are hoppy and bready. Everything is balanced and smooth. Great stuff.

A great mild taste with a bit of bitterness. A lot lighter than the Red IPAs I normally drink.
