5am Saint is The Holy Grail of red ales. We live in a world of disposable deities. Someone, somehow has managed to press that big, flashing moronic override button and we’re hard wired straight into the pockets of false idols trying to make a quick buck. Sadly, for a lot of people the same mentality applies to beer. But who’s to know what’s worth worshiping when monolithic advertising budgets have you sucked down the rabbit hole in the blink of an eye? At BrewDog we are on a mission to open as many people’s eyes as possible. Cast away any aspersions and let the crook of BrewDog be your guide in a whirlwind of conformity and mediocrity. Once this ruby liquid forms a foamy halo around your glass, you’ll never want to look back.
Malts: Maris Otter, Caramalt, Munich Malt, Crystal and Dark Crystal Malts
Hops:Cascade, Amarillo, Nelson Sauvin, Simcoe, Ahtanum, Centennial

Longueur moyenne.

Caramel, hops, malt, fruit.

Amber/red beer with a small off-white head.

Starts sweet with a lot of fruit, ends slightly bitter and dry.

33cl bottle at local street food corner. Pours clear amber with small diminishing white head, medium body, and decent lacing. Pleasant aromas of fruits and flowers, malty character, caramel, cereal, herbs. Was the perfect choice to pair with my spicy german sausage+ Munchen potato salad. Refreshing, drinkable, tasty. Good one!

5%abv. Purchase in DogHouse, Merchant City. Pretty amber colour and rich head. Love the palate, quite satisfying. Fruity aroma, not sure about the taste, a weird bittersweet combination. But overall a very nice ale.

Don’t see what all the fuss is about., this is decent but it’s an ok iPa masquerading as a amber ale nice colour and off white head hops shine through pine mango slightly thin in body nice but underwhelming

4/23/2010 11:44:46 PM Bottle at Beer Temple, Amsterdam. Nice red amber body with limited head. Nose of plenty of hops, grass and bitter. Some citrus too. Taste is quite hoppy with Simcoe and Chinkook standing out, and quite sweet. Really enjoyable. More bitter in the finish. Quite impressed by this one.

Spændende Amber Ale fra Skotland. Tilpas sødlig, og aligevel også god smag fra humlen.

Bottle - Slight hazy, reddish deep amber colour, medium sized, steady off-white head with lacing. Intense fruity aromas, red berries, lemon zest, tangerine, caramel. Taste is rich malty with lots of red fruits, caramel, orange and biscuit, smooth hop bitterness. Medium body and carbonation, moderate bitterness and pleasant fruitiness in the end. Well balanced, exciting beer. Its just an everyday beer but its so special, so smooth. Highly recommended.
