5am Saint is The Holy Grail of red ales. We live in a world of disposable deities. Someone, somehow has managed to press that big, flashing moronic override button and we’re hard wired straight into the pockets of false idols trying to make a quick buck. Sadly, for a lot of people the same mentality applies to beer. But who’s to know what’s worth worshiping when monolithic advertising budgets have you sucked down the rabbit hole in the blink of an eye? At BrewDog we are on a mission to open as many people’s eyes as possible. Cast away any aspersions and let the crook of BrewDog be your guide in a whirlwind of conformity and mediocrity. Once this ruby liquid forms a foamy halo around your glass, you’ll never want to look back.

Copper red amber ale. Appearance in a suitable glass, where strong serious and persistent foam arises is pleasing to the eye. The flavor is a little caramel and hops. The flavor has a wonderful citrus with good hops notes against a little caramel malt in the background.

Reddish amber, clear, beautiful. Thin head, beige/golden. Aroma is hoppy, like the usual nose of an IPA. Taste has got a blend of malty sweetness and hops. Lots of hop. Well balanced. A very good ale. BrewDog seldom disappoints!

Color rubí profundo. Espuma de media persistencia y de color blanco roto. En nariz capto notas cítricas, pomelo, melón, uva, pino. En boca tenemos notas de caramelo que se funden con un buen toque del lúpulo. Amargor moderadamente fuerte y persistente.

Bottle from Masuyo. Pours a clear amber with a small off-white head. Nose is pine resin, caramel and some grapefruit. Taste is more of the same. A woody bitterness on the palate with some bready malt sweetness to balance it out. Bitter finish with some grapefruit showing.
