COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
5am Saint is The Holy Grail of red ales. We live in a world of disposable deities. Someone, somehow has managed to press that big, flashing moronic override button and we’re hard wired straight into the pockets of false idols trying to make a quick buck. Sadly, for a lot of people the same mentality applies to beer. But who’s to know what’s worth worshiping when monolithic advertising budgets have you sucked down the rabbit hole in the blink of an eye? At BrewDog we are on a mission to open as many people’s eyes as possible. Cast away any aspersions and let the crook of BrewDog be your guide in a whirlwind of conformity and mediocrity. Once this ruby liquid forms a foamy halo around your glass, you’ll never want to look back.
Malts: Marris Otter, Crystal Malt Hops: Simcoe, Chinook, Nelson Sauvin, Centennial Twist: Loads of late hops and bucket-loads of dry hops

Bottle from Booth’s, Ripon. Pours deep amber with frothy cream head. Loads of pine hop flavour, but some quite sweet caramel in there too. Quite light, but that makes it very drinkable. Good beer.

Maltig doft med knäcktoner och en friskhet från humlen. Rödbrun färg med lite ljusbrun krona. Smaken är lätt och ganska torr. Ganska liten i kroppen. För tunn för min smak. Ingen toppöl i mitt tycke.

Draft at Farmers Cabinet. Hazy red pour with a white foamy head. Mix of hops and malt that only semi-comfortably mix. Earthy spice floral hops. Chocolate toffee caramels. The result is smooth but unfocused. Not unpleasant, but the theory feels unsound despite the execution.

Pours clear red / amber color with a minimal head. Aroma is citrussy, grapefruity, hoppy. Taste ist quite floral and red fruity with a hint of orange and minimal bitterness. Also minimal carbonation. Not my favourite one from Brewdog.

Clear amber with tanned head that dissappears quickly. Smell is all about hops, floral, grapefruit and dried fruit scents. Taste is very hoppy, but with a nice malt sweetness. Dry floral hoppy finish.

Bottle 0.33l. Pours reddish brown with off white head. Aroma is fruity, red berries, malty. Taste is light medium bitter, malty, fruity, slightly sour. Aftertaste has a balanced bitterness and hints of fruit. Not as intensive as an IPA but with a good balance of bitterness and fruit. Very good.

Nice Amber beer with a flowery aroma. Fruity bitterness and nice mouth feeling. The aftertaste is not as bitter as many IPA’s, but very pleasant. Nice beer to drink on a hot summers day.
