On tap at Rogue Wetbar by Seabus in Vancouver. A darkish, brownish amber ale. Malts and dried fruit flavours predominate. Little hop evident. Nice one.

Good aroma of tropical fruit and pine.

UPDATED: JAN 27, 2014 Re-rate:
Bottle, didnt check batch.
Finally a bottle which tastes like I remember it.
Clean roasty malt character with piney hops and mahogny color.
Bottle, Batch 237, BF 230713 - 6/3/6/4/12 - 3.1
I’m having difficulties to describe this one, because I cant pick up something that clearly stands out. Aroma of honey, slightly piney, something overripe (plums?) and with notes of vegetables? Muted taste, light bitterness, easy to drink.
The color has changed with time. It has become darker and has an unusual color. Some kind of hazy mahogny, but if I hold the glas against the sun it becomes lightly ruby red. Cool!
This is not my favorite batch. I prefer batches that had stronger piney hop character.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Large beige frothy head and a beautiful mahogany hazy body.
Aroma is dominated by aromatic hops: citrus, tropical fruit and maybe some pine. The taste is also fruity and hoppy, but with some toffee notes too. Finishes a sturdy and peppery bitter,

3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Light brown beer with a small beige head. Fruity peaches / peach marmelade on the nose. Grassy hops. Body is on the watery side. Could benefit from a bigger carbonation perhaps with a body this light. Some caramel. Not very complex. Quite a dull beer with decent hops. Not bad but not something you want more. The smell is the best on this one.

3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
330ml bottle at end of best before. Pop the cap, great aroma of sweet juicy fruity hops. Aroma dies down in the glass head disappears quickly leaving some lacing. Taste is citrus hops but thin watery and muted. Underwhelming, but I will definitely try a fresh one if I find it.
