COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
5am Saint is The Holy Grail of red ales. We live in a world of disposable deities. Someone, somehow has managed to press that big, flashing moronic override button and we’re hard wired straight into the pockets of false idols trying to make a quick buck. Sadly, for a lot of people the same mentality applies to beer. But who’s to know what’s worth worshiping when monolithic advertising budgets have you sucked down the rabbit hole in the blink of an eye? At BrewDog we are on a mission to open as many people’s eyes as possible. Cast away any aspersions and let the crook of BrewDog be your guide in a whirlwind of conformity and mediocrity. Once this ruby liquid forms a foamy halo around your glass, you’ll never want to look back.
Malts: Marris Otter, Crystal Malt Hops: Simcoe, Chinook, Nelson Sauvin, Centennial Twist: Loads of late hops and bucket-loads of dry hops

Bottle at home. I found berry bouncing off marmalade clashing with caramel cosying up to chocolate buzzing off spice sizzling with toast laced with lychee and colliding with biscuit. As malty as it is hoppy. As anarchic as it is structured. Bitterness and sweetness, all neatly messed up in a triumph of pure chaos. Yes i copied the description from the bottle. Hehehe :D

bottle from plonk. Pours amber, creamy head, attractive appearance. Big hoppy aroma, reminiscent of an imperial IPA for some reason (the extensive dry hopping?). Big hoppy flavours with mild bitterness. body is a little thin. at 5% ABV it?s rare for a beer of this relatively mild strength to carry such flavour. good stuff.

1dl Erzbierschof Tab. Sehr schöne Kupferrot, guter Schaum. Cassisbeeren und etwas grapiges in der Luft. Wenig bitter, schön malzig, nicht zu süss. Rutsch gut runter. Sehr feines Amber Ale.

Pours a murky dark ruby colour with a average size frothy head. Has a nice aroma balance between caramel, biscuit, resin, and pine. Tastes of caramel, pine, nuts, and herbs. Has a nice medium body with lower carbonation and a dry finish. Overall quite well done amber with good hopping and malt balance.
