COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
5am Saint is The Holy Grail of red ales. We live in a world of disposable deities. Someone, somehow has managed to press that big, flashing moronic override button and we’re hard wired straight into the pockets of false idols trying to make a quick buck. Sadly, for a lot of people the same mentality applies to beer. But who’s to know what’s worth worshiping when monolithic advertising budgets have you sucked down the rabbit hole in the blink of an eye? At BrewDog we are on a mission to open as many people’s eyes as possible. Cast away any aspersions and let the crook of BrewDog be your guide in a whirlwind of conformity and mediocrity. Once this ruby liquid forms a foamy halo around your glass, you’ll never want to look back.
Malts: Marris Otter, Crystal Malt Hops: Simcoe, Chinook, Nelson Sauvin, Centennial Twist: Loads of late hops and bucket-loads of dry hops

Do i recommend it?: yeah, well if you want a quite funny beer to drink with alot of taste and sweetness ok. But it does not fully fold into my taste. Will I drink it again?: probably not in a couple of years. Maybe ice cold (god forbid) a warm summers eve ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Caramel, hay aroma, not very strong. Clear, red, foamy cream coloured head. Light sweetness, lightly bitter, umami. Lively, full body, long finish. Nice beer.

Floral aromas with citrus and tropical fruits, great fruity flavours with a mild bitter aftertaste, excellent red ale and looking forward to my next 5AM

Bottle. Appearance is burnt amber, a little bit of haze/cloud. A small off white foamy head which clings to the glass. Aroma- lots of hops, caramel hints, fruity, bit of raisin, floral hints. Taste- pronounced hop bitterness, medium to full in the mouth, fruits, hint of blackberry, grassy notes, firm malt profile, biscuity towards the finish, which is bitter. Tasty.

UPDATED: AUG 23, 2014 Clear and currant-like appearence, with a strong and gross head, agrumate and sweet aroma with some traits of marsala, strong malted taste (raisin, ginger-like features - sort of a light syrup trait) and a bitter palate. Overall, a very enjoyable red ale

Amber body, small whitish head. Strong hoppy with some caramel. Soft taste, similar to IPA in terms of hops but not nearly as sharp. Some bitterness in the end. Smooth mouthfeel, slight carbonation. Not bad.

Bottle. I’m a big fan of hoppy red ale’s so this is right up my alley. I know it’s not meant to be an IRA but a bit more of everything would have made me really happy.

Sehr carbonisiert, hopfig mit einer guten malzigen süße. Citrusnoten mit karamell, allerdings auch rech wässrig was den nachgeschmack sehr beinträchtigt.
