5am Saint is The Holy Grail of red ales. We live in a world of disposable deities. Someone, somehow has managed to press that big, flashing moronic override button and we’re hard wired straight into the pockets of false idols trying to make a quick buck. Sadly, for a lot of people the same mentality applies to beer. But who’s to know what’s worth worshiping when monolithic advertising budgets have you sucked down the rabbit hole in the blink of an eye? At BrewDog we are on a mission to open as many people’s eyes as possible. Cast away any aspersions and let the crook of BrewDog be your guide in a whirlwind of conformity and mediocrity. Once this ruby liquid forms a foamy halo around your glass, you’ll never want to look back.
Malts: Marris Otter, Crystal Malt Hops: Simcoe, Chinook, Nelson Sauvin, Centennial Twist: Loads of late hops and bucket-loads of dry hops

Faktiskt inte så latjo tycker jag. Ganska rå i smaken, ingen finess.

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Dark amber, hazy body, with a medium, creamy, beige head. Aroma of citrus, berries, peach, grass, caramel, roast. Taste with about the same aromas, also some tea. Mouthfeel is medium, slick, with a moderate carbonation and it finishes bitter, citric, fruity and a bit roasty. Tasty! Lovely berry aromas, just the right amount of sweetness and bitterness and really refreshing and sessionable. Pretty much how I imagine a perfect beer of this style!

Really nice hoppy beer! Fudge, pine in the aroma. Haven’t tried this brewery in a while but this was solid. Its even old but good

33cl bottle from "cerveteca" bar in Lisbon. It pours a dark amber color with a moderate and non-persistent beige head. Aroma is of hops, fruits (specially berries and other red fruits) and some floral notes.Taste is of course sweet hoppy, but with toasted malts, caramel and later it builds up some bitterness at the end. It is moderately carbonated with a medium body and a dry finish. Overall a very nice and enjoyable Amber Ale from BrewDog. I would drink it again.

Aroma: intense citrus and red fruit; Appearance: pale orange-reddish; Taste: medium bitterness, medium sourness, slight sweetness; Palate: abrupt finish, oily texture, medium body, soft carbonation Pleasant buttery notes, the intense hop aroma doesn’t mean intense bitterness. Well-rounded, sessionable.

Bottle. Pours dark reddish amber with a great head. Aroma of intense citrus hops and malty notes. Very drinkable with a pleasent lasting bitterness.

Pours dark brown with slight red tint. Aroma is grapefruity hops. Flavors are pure red ale off the start: slight sourness from darker malts but pretty light. Hops come next and last to the finish. Interesting that it’s not a red IPA like I was expecting, but an actual red ale that has been hopped up.

Bottled sample from MLCC(?). Pours cloudy reddish colour. Very bubbly. Very hoppy. Ruby liquid is a good way to describe it

Yep, it’s red alright. It’s not super bold but medium-bodied. Iconoclastic is pushing it, but it’s tasty.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass Aroma- Has a sugary smell with some citrus Appearance- This is a cloudy amber beer with a thick tannish colored head. Taste- Has a hoppy citrus flavor Palate-. Medium bodied with a bitter aftertaste bite. Overall- Not a bad American Amber/Red Ale, I would drink this beer again.
