Veer (355), Landskrona, Sweden Nov 7, 2009 Aroma: smells nice. Reminiscent of punk. Fresh, fruity hops. More lager quality of course –grains. Slightly harsh.
Flavour: good, but a bit bland. Neutral grain. Some hops with an astringent but overal very mild character. Descent session beer I guess. But then, Punk is a much better session beer. Sorry, no point in comparing the two.Slightly sourish. Pilsner-type.
Appearance: Honey coloured, clear body with some bubbly, milky, thick head that sets quickly.
Palate: soft, good, actually. Milky and fluffy.
espenra (277), Oslo, Norway Nov 7, 2009 33cl bottle from Systembolaget. It poured a golden orange colour with a huge white foamy head that settled down fast in the glass. Aroma is fresh with notes of lemon, grass and some hops. The flavour is a bit dry with notes of citrus and grass. It has a medium long aftertaste.
The girlfriend also liked this beer. LanceUppercut (104), Sweden Nov 7, 2009 A nose of citrusy hops and soap. Taste is of lemon, iron, grass and a tiny bit of yeast. Finish is a little adicic and dry. Some bitterness is decernible. A descent brew, but it feels like brewdog should focus less on image, and more on substance sometimes. Ingevara (516), Hindås, Sweden Nov 2, 2009 Light brown. Small head. Aromatic fragrance with lots of fruit and woody tones. A rounded bitter flavor, fruity and malty; some sugar. Very drinkable, very enjoyable. DJMonarch (5966), Northwich, Cheshire, England Nov 2, 2009 Cask Stillage at Edgeley Park, Stockport 29/05/2009
Some hop aroma. White head. Golden coloured smooth on the palate floral and hoppy with a little bitterness in a very dry malt finish. rauchbier (2992), Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, England Oct 31, 2009 Bottle, from Tesco, Cleethorpes. Gold, thin but lasting white head and gentle condition. Pleasant grain and solid citrus hoppiness in the nose, excellent citrusy sweet hoppiness in the mouth with a good balance of background grainy malt, lingering assertive but restrained chalky hop bitterness in the finish. finol (475), Nacka (Stockholm), Sweden Oct 28, 2009 Bottle from Systembolaget.
Pours amber with a shortlasting yellowish head.
Aroma of malt, baking yeast and some citrusy hops in the back.
Tastes malty at first but then it gets drowned in a distinct lemon taste. Linnet (107), , Sweden Oct 25, 2009 Golden colour, medium off-white head, thick and creamy. Smell is surprisingly mild and malty, for a brewery that really talks the talk, still I fins some hops in there. Flavour is a disaster full of funky chemical notes that are just plain awful, it’s chocking to say the least! Mouthfeel is average. Brewdog what the hell are you doing?
