330ml bottle from Tesco. Copper coloured with white head that resolves to a thin layer. Lovely aroma - a mix of citrus and floral hops, a little butter and some peppery/spice in the background. The floral and citrus aromas carry over to the flavours with juicy maltiness and a big hoppy kick. Long bitter finish. A light, balanced palate makes it an excellent partner to spicy foods.

Bottle from Tesco, Formby. Poured a lovely deep golden colour with a small crisp white head. Citrus & fruit flavours were allied with a hoppy crispness. I’m not a devotee of pilsners so can’t really compare this with others of the ilk, other than to say this was a very pleasant beer, well chilled as it was.

Bottle watching the footie, batch 216. Brassy gold with a fine white slick. Crisp gelatinous grapefruit and lime aroma with grassy hints, hay, juicy honeyed malt and biscuit. All the dryness of a proper pils, plus a big glug of doggy grapefruit and lip-smacking fresh cashew and digestive maltiness. Slick, aromatic and full. Sticks around long after the swallow. A beer to be knocked back in some quantity whilst doing something other than analysing beer. Love it.

I have looked forward to this warm golden beer. The aroma has light fruity notes, English hops and malt. The flavor has a light sweetness and notes of fruit, dusty English hops, grapefruit and other kinds of citrus. It is very aromatic with a nice citrussy bitterness and a suitable malt/caramel base.

Cask@Peterborough Beer Festival, 2009. Bronze beer with a light head. The aroma is vinous and fruity, and the flavour is lightly hopped. Overall an average hopped and fruity like beer.

Bottle. It pours a clear, golden body under a minimal white head. A bit weak on the nose maybe, but with a fine blend of pale malts and piney, citric hops. The flavor is a lovely blend of biscuity pale malts giving some sweetness, and hops giving all you can imagine. Generic fruityness, resin, grapefruit peel, green pine cones and a delicious bitterness. Medium body with a nice level of carbonation. The finish is really long, with fruity, citrusy hops givinig a wonderful bitterness, and leaving little space for the malts. A really quenching and easy drinkable beer, wouldn’t mind making this my regular pilsener. 090830

(Bottle) Golded and clear. Medium sized white head. Black currant, grass and fruitiness in aroma. Medium bodied and dry palate with medium carbonation. Grass, fruitiness, bitterness, malts and lightly sweetness intaste. Bitter and fruity aftertaste.

330 ml bottle. Golden body with a fine off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty with a hint of caramel, but mostly dominated with grassy and citric hop flavors. Flavor has a clean, light maltyness with a gentle sweetness in perfect balance with the crispy bitterness. Very refreshing, citric, grassy, hay and pine. Addictively drinkable, and very interesting to push the limits this way in a lager.
