375 ml bottle. Bottled on 16.06.2010. Bottle no. 124/3600.
Pours hazy red-brown color with no head. A very strong aroma of plums, raisins, mild caramel notes, malts and some sugar. Flavor of caramel, toffee, malts, ripe fruits like plums and dates, some sugar and . Quite easy to drink considering the high abv. Fruity and sweet palate with a very short sweet plumy finish.

37,5 cl bottle @ lusikka. Bottle #0124, bottled 16.06.2010 (japanese marking: BBE 28.01.2020)
Aroma is sweet and rather strong on plums, raisins and berries. Flavour has some slightly stinging alcohol, plums, raisins and berries. Some hops can also be observerd. A bit weird.

Bottle, shared with Bergen Beer Geek Tasting Crew’s Epic Abstrakt/Blåbær tasting, feat. special guests Foffern and StoreMy. :-) Deep amber body, tiny off-white head. Aroma is boozy tones with caramel, wood and sweet malts with hints of dried fruits. Taste is sharp alcoholic wooden notes with caramel and Norwegian brown cheese being the most prominent flavors. Hints of cellar must and dark malty sweetness. A bit too boozy, but OK.

Bottle thanks to TimE under the cherry blossoms. Big hoppy nose, rich caramel malts. Very big and full body, lots of toffee and nicely hopped as well. Strong but not unpleasantly boozy at all. Nice warmer.

Fantastic finisher to a tasting under the cherry blossoms. Big sticky hop nose. Full, sticky body - lots of toffee, caramel, brown sugar and big citrus hops. Well integrated all up. Thanks TimE!

Bottle, shared at a friends house. amber color, head is beige and small. Aroma of alcohol and several fruity hops. A tad unbalanced taste of caramel, alcohol and red fruits. Massive body. Finish seems pretty dry hopped, which makes a nice end to a special beer.

375 ml. bottle @ home. pours a dark amber colour. reddish in the light. the aromas are heavily nutty and barleywine-ish. taste notes are strong of alcohol, overriped fruits, and a bit of chocolate and notes of nuts. all in all a fantastic beer. really special.

30/06/2011 Birra+ (375ml bottle). Degustazione da Birra+. Rossa, intensa, buona schiuma biancastra, poco persistente.

Bottle from Peckham’s Rye. Dirty cloudy dark brown colour, not much head. Sour grassy hop aroma. Strong complex roasted coffee, malt & barley flavour. Lingering strong aftertaste. Not my sort of beer.
