2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 maneliquor (1551) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - APR 22, 2012
Bottle from Mane Liquor. Has been put away for almost a year now. Opened on Ryan’s birthday. Pour is a thick and murky toffee colour with no head to speak of. Nose is not too bad. Rather sweet and sugary with loads of malt driven undertones. Heaps of caramel and toffee in there with dried apricot and vanilla. Taste is a little one dimensional for my liking. Tons of caramel and biscuit with a bitter sweet finish. Not too boozy considering the abv. Thin and oily palate. Not my kinda thing

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 TheJester (1458) - Peterborough, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 18, 2010
375 mL (green) bottle with a classy little label. (bottled on 16.06.10). Dark auburn with a small head. The aroma really knocks you on your ass: it’s big. Alcohol, pineapple, cough syrup, and caramel. The flavour is equally huge, with the alcohol being dominant again. There is a stronger toasty malt presence, as well as a some dark fruit and nuts. Bitter finish. Could have used some time to mellow, but a damn interesting beer.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 AshtonMcCobb (1442) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUL 23, 2012
375ml bottle thanks to Stu. Pours a cloudy brown with very little head. The nose has a savoury/earthy thing which is almost meaty, also rubbery note with a sour edge to it which makes me think of ginger bread. The taste is of more ginger bread and rubber, with more savoury meat notes after, then a pate finish. The palate is rich, full bodied, a big tangy and creamy texture and an elegant finish. Overall, this beer is hugely individual, I love it.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 BenH (1333) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUL 12, 2011
Bottle opened today after a year of aging. Pours murky brown with little white head. Smell is of raisins and alcohol. Alcohol on the taste, raisins, some slight fruity hop notes, alcohol burn going down. Flavour is much more tame than bottle I had a year ago, seems to have lost some of it’s pizazz. Some bad flavours present. Maybe I remember it to be better than it is, probably more likely that’s it’s just aged badly.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 evergreen0199 (1327) - Northwood, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 18, 2010
Keg at The Cask pub and Kitchen, Pimlico, London. A dark amber pour with a smallish white head on top. Aroma of dark fruit, hops, caramel. Tastes malty, caramel, pleasant bitterness, nicely hopped. A well balanced big beer from Brewdog and really easy to drink despite its high strength. I am not Brewdogs biggest fan but this one is pretty good.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 daje (1289) - NORWAY - MAR 14, 2012
Bottle, shared at a friends house.
amber color, head is beige and small.
Aroma of alcohol and several fruity hops.
A tad unbalanced taste of caramel, alcohol and red fruits. Massive body. Finish seems pretty dry hopped, which makes a nice end to a special beer.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 bobinlondon (1214) - Harrow, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 29, 2010
Keg at the C&K launch. Amber/ red with a tan head. Initially the massive hop count masks the excessive alcohol but in the finish this beer is un integrated and too strong for it’s own good. Nevertheless, extra marks for an adventurous effort. It will no doubt round off with moderate aging and might well have benefited from cask presentation at a colder time of year.
