Tasted from the bottle @home on 17/10/2012. Pours of lovely dark copper, crystal-clear color. Head is small off-white and quickly dissapears. Aroma is full of berries upfront, definitely packs of raspberries, strawberries are somewhere behind. After several sniffs a very nice, elegant sourness appears. Very complex and intensive aroma! Taste follows that pattern - astonishing mix of raspberrries upfront, tasty malt sweetness, wonderful bitterness lingering the back of the tongue - all covered with that lovely sour taste of fresh raspberries. After few sips also could feel faint strawberry notes. Having so much berries it, this beer is still has a "beer taste", pretty much drinkable and enjoyable. Well done, Brewdog! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

375ml bottle. Pours dark orange/brown with no head. Aroma is whisky, strawberries, grapefruit and slightly sour. Some alcohol. Taste is fruity to start. Whisky on the finish, with a grapefruit bitterness. Not as full as could be. I am very much enjoying this beer.

Big thanks to DarkGurdian for sharing this one at a recent tasting. The aroma just explodes with a massive amount of chocolate and strawberries. I noticed a little bit of sediment floating around in the glass, but I figured that it was just from the whisky casks that were used to age this beer, so therefore no harm done. For a beer being at 11%ABV it’s incredible smooth and easily drinkable. It’s got a good amount of carbonation with a very thin head to it. A great beer!!

Brewdog event at the Rake, 7th Sept 2010. Raspberry - musty - oak - sour whiffs. Lovely aroma - inviting, complex and interesting. Rather dry mouthfeel, but not puckering. Whiskey sense to it. Plastic notes from the high alcohol. A serious beer with lots of interesting notes - one of the most fascinating BrewDog beers I’ve had. Lambic whiskey. Tobacco and grass in the aroma. Lovely stuff.

On tap at the Rake, London on 7th September 2010. Amber with little or no head. Notes of marshmallow, sour strawberry and raspberry fruit, deep earthy maltiness. A mildly bitter finish, and a deep, wholemouth texture. Rather better than I had expected.

Keg and bottled (I assume) at the Rake. Amber/red with an off white head. Hugely complex with woody malts and spritzy raspberries. Good smooth carbonation and well disguised alcohol. Unlike a few others present on the night, I thought this was superb.

Fook meh this has held up. Tawny brown with sliver sand head. Pulped, instant freezed raspberries and sly malt pole. Strong dessert sweetness, big billing of crisp greatness. Silky finish of caressing sour, borrowed Yoda whispering hops, ploughed back over the sweet finish. Dreaming of how this stands on the 10th anniversary.Big rusty amber body with boozy listless head. Coppery nose, firey. Dense oily, oxidsed boozeage slips away to floral rustiness. Crystalled throughout, keeping it steely and narrow. Terse finish, mapely

Taster from bottle at La Cantinetta, Rimini. It pours a whisky-like intense caramel body with the tiniest tan head. Aroma is intensely fruity with raspberries upfront, then leather and vanilla come through. Taste is on the sweet side with more caramel, leather, vanilla and loads of raspberries and strawberries. Light must in the finish. Medium to thin body with soft carbonation. Overall, fantastic complexity.

Bottle. Aroma strong harmonic strawberry and raspberry. Almost clear amber to brown colour. The base beer serves as background that lets the fruits shine. Wonderful fresh fruit flavour with moderately intense fruity sourness. Long fruity finish. Sipper, slowly drinkable, but that is how it is meant to be.
