Almost black with minimal dark tan head. Aroma is very sweet, with some chocolate, coffee, dried fruit. Taste is very sweet, with strong alcohol. Cocoa, coffee, malt, a touch of licorice. Fairly rich in the mouth with long aftertaste. Fun, but definitely not an excellent beer.

Pours black with a small brown head. Aroma is roasted malt, liquorish and light coffee. Flavour is sweet roasted malt, liquorish, alcohol, sugar and light smoke. Heavy sweetness overpowers this beer.

Black with a small tan head. Inviting aroma of licorice, some brown sugar and a meaty smoke. However the flavour is insanely sweet and sugary, extremely cloying with little help from notes of bacon smoke and roasted malts

Bottle. This is a strange, unbalanced brew that I nontheless happend to like. It tastes like melted luxuty coffee-chocolate with some cheap cocoa added to it :-) The aroma was very perfumed.

(Bottle) Pours black with a medium sized brown head. The aroma holds coconut milk, spices, brown sugar/molasses, milk chocolate, oxidised port, wet earth, ammoniac, salt, sweet liquorice, over ripe dark fruity and tiny smoke notes. The coconut and spices reminds me a bit of Thai food. Quite sweet (candy sweet) on the nose. Light whisper. The flavour is super heavily sweet, light bitter and tiny acidic. Bit salty as well. Some roast, coconut molasses and sucralose. Some balsamic vinegar and over ripe fruits on the finish. The mouthfeel round but way too sticky with light to no carbonation. Medium to full bodied.

ante (3374) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - MAY 16, 2011
Bottle. Pours out in an opaque black colour with a rich thick pale brown head. Strong and really sweet aroma of caramelized sugar, milky chocolate, coconut milk, black chocolate, black cherries and brown sugar with hints of peppery alcohol. Full-bodied with strong sweet notes of chocolate sauce, coconuts, brown sugar, loads of dark malts, fudge, toffee and caramelized sugar. Thick and really chewy mouthfeel. Long sweet finish of milky chocolate, sweet Turkish coffee, caramelized sugar and coconuts.

Bottle from Peckham’s Rye. Strong sweet coffee malty chocolate aroma. Almost black colour, tan head. Strong sweet sickly chocolate malt flavour, sour aftertaste. Not my thing.
