Mycket söt kaffe, lite känsla av Dark Horizon 3d-kopia. Ganska het, mycket god kaffe och brunsocker.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Punsch416 (10) - Rättvik, SWEDEN - JUN 3, 2011
Pours a thick black liquid with a nut brown head that disappears after a few minutes. The aroma is rich with hints of soy sauce, dark chocolate, roasted malts, worcestershire sauce and muscovado sugar. The toasted coconut is nowhere to be found in the aroma. The taste is almost like coffee with too much sugar added. The beer also got a fruit to it that i sense in most of Brewdogs imperial stouts. Overall a good an complex beer with much going on in the noose but the taste is overwhelmed by an almost suffocating sweetness. This beer took me a while to finish.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 Leighton (6945) - London, ENGLAND - MAY 30, 2011
UPDATED: OCT 5, 2011 Keg at the Euston Tap. Pours midnight black with a creamy, tan head. Aroma is all hoisin and soy sauce, some cocoa and roast. Very, very sweet flavor, slightly syrupy, at first candy, licorice, chocolate syrup, then some roasted malts and brown sugar. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes sticky with sugar, some roasted malts, subtle coconut, dark brown sugar, soy sauce, some ripe fruits like raisins and berries, oily coconut, light smoke, mild tar and roasted malts. Huge beer, extremely sweet. Really enjoyable but I couldn’t have more than a half pint. (4.2) Update (from the past): bottle at post-ACBF 2011 tasting. Pours dark, oily brown-black with a few bubbles. Rish, roasty dark malt nose. Very sweet and syrupy flavor, some chocolate and hints of coconut. Full bodied with soft carbonation. Very oily and slightly chewy. Warm finish with moderate roast, some brownies and sugar. Nice. (4.1)
