Taster from bottle. Found a cellared stash at La Cantinetta, Rimini. It pours a deep dark brown colour with minimal off white head. Aroma is big on tropical fruits and alcohol. Mango and pineapple sorrounded by whisky. Taste is well balanced between hoppy bitter notes and liqueur sweetness. Still very fruity. Medium to thin mouthfeel with carbonation. Still very good.

Bottle - Vintage ?? - Perfumy citrus and pine. Black with a thin beige head. Flowery citrus and pine translate into taste with a roast malt in the background. Although booze is there it is masked well and works with the sweetness. There is next to no bitterness and is very dry. Unfortunately there is no carbonation left which ruins it a bit.

Corked 37.5 cl bottle @ home (bottle #4945). Pours black with some sediment and no head. Aroma and flavour is faded hops (if that makes any sense), fruit, malt, and liquorice – with a slightly bitter finish.

Theydon_Bois (16475) - Tourist Town (West), Berkshire, ENGLAND - OCT 12, 2013
Bottle at home, from Utobeer, 12/10/13. Pours extremely dark mahogony brown meets light black with a thin tan covering. Nose is caramel malt, hops, light pine, boozey waft, berry fruit, black forest gateaux. Taste comprises earthy hops, light roast, pine needle, berry fruit compote, cocoa dusting, brown sugars. Full bodied, slick and slightly oily, smooth on the palate, berry booze and semi aggressive earthy hopness in the last hurrah. Tasty ’imperial’ CDA. The alchohol is well tempered and this is holding up very well for over 2 years old !

Hell fire black auburn hinge, slight head. Composting dry nose, sumptuous. Taught, zipwire bitterness throughout even three years on. Rounded malt and peppery tinge. Thin but arching tang to the finish.Big rusty amber body with boozy listless head. Coppery nose, firey. Dense oily, oxidsed boozeage slips away to floral rustiness. Crystalled throughout, keeping it steely and narrow. Terse finish, mapely
