Dark mahogany color, small head. Caramel head, with some oxidisation. Food body, malt and caramel flavor, but too much alcohol; strong bitterness; a bit nutty; moderate sweetness.

The aroma of overripe fruit. Over ripe fruit and easy licorice taste. Okay bitterness that fills the upper part of the mouth for a long time. Not so good beer. But you can drink it. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

Bottle # 2481 / 4200, shared at Leighton’s, thanks to Cloin. As ’BrewDog Abstrakt AB:07’. Bottled Sep 2011 at 12.5%. Very dark brown, small ring of tan head. Aroma is meaty, whisky, a little sherry and marmite oxidation. Body is medium, smooth, soft carbonation. Taste is meaty, chewy sweet, molasses, alcohol, some whisky. It’s hard going to start but opens up. More whisky shows up over time. This one definitely slowed down the tasting a bit, but it’s quite drinkable for what it is.

Bottle split at LKS, 07/01/16. Murky mahogany brown with no head. Nose is musty, light oxidised tones, fruit cake, spice, tobacco. Taste comprises rich fruit cake, honey, spice, toffee, dates, toasted brown sugar. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying with a boosty tickle. Decent enough fayre.
