Bottle thanks to a trade! Pours a cloudy deep amber brown with no head whatsoever. Aroma has strong sweet grains and a syrupy note with toffee and a good amount of booze. Flavor has strong toffee and sweet grains with a syrupyness and a bit of booze. An odd beer for sure.

Bottle 375ml at Beer Hunters. Clear deep amber color, tiny white head. Toffee, light alcohol, barley in the aroma. Medium-bodied. Toffee, barley, some alcohol. A bit weakish palate after 2+ years of aging.

EdKing (1760) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 6, 2014
Bottle shared at Gunnar tasting, originally bought in Utobeer. Colour is clear reddish, with a small white head. Nose is complex. Marmalade, Marmite (yeast extract), caramel, orange citrous, earthy, dirty, alcoholic. Taste is earthy, slight damp cellar, sticky sweet orange, yeast extract saltiness, slight oxidisation but itís not hurting it, caramel. Sweet and strong but a little too much going on.

Taster from a 37.5cl bottle at La Cantinetta, Rimini. It pours a clear deep amber colour with almost no head. Aroma is roasted coffee beans, caramel and some booze. Taste is quite sweet with candy sugar, roasted coffee, roasted malts, dark fruit notes. Quite full bodied with soft carbonation. Good

Bottle from Systembolaget. Chocolate and caramel on the nose. Very sweet taste, lots of caramel and a very strong bitterness. You can really feel the alcohol. Not sure about the whole Blonde IS, itís close to a barley wine though.

Reddish brown pour, off white head. Flavors of charred oak, vanilla, raisins...odd but interesting.

Bottle pours with a murky light brown body that supports a tan head. The aroma offers up some sweet malts, chili pepper notes and more sugary malt sweetness. The taste has sugary malts, brown sugar, candi sugar and then a thin layer of chili pepper meat rolling into more and more boozy heat. This comes across pretty odd as the notes arenít melding all that well. And this actually doesnít have chili peppers added? Fun beer to try though.
