Taster from a 37.5cl bottle at La Cantinetta, Rimini. It pours a clear deep amber colour with almost no head. Aroma is roasted coffee beans, caramel and some booze. Taste is quite sweet with candy sugar, roasted coffee, roasted malts, dark fruit notes. Quite full bodied with soft carbonation. Good

Bottle from Systembolaget. Chocolate and caramel on the nose. Very sweet taste, lots of caramel and a very strong bitterness. You can really feel the alcohol. Not sure about the whole Blonde IS, it’s close to a barley wine though.

Tastes funny. A little christmasy. Quite good but not nearly a usual beer. Won’t be drinking this again.

Reddish brown pour, off white head. Flavors of charred oak, vanilla, raisins...odd but interesting.

Bottle pours with a murky light brown body that supports a tan head. The aroma offers up some sweet malts, chili pepper notes and more sugary malt sweetness. The taste has sugary malts, brown sugar, candi sugar and then a thin layer of chili pepper meat rolling into more and more boozy heat. This comes across pretty odd as the notes aren’t melding all that well. And this actually doesn’t have chili peppers added? Fun beer to try though.

Bottle shared @ Dak’s Black Friday tasting. Mixture of chestnut and garnet in color with a small eggshell head. Brown sugar, candied citrus, cocoa, alcohol, ash, and roasted malt. Meh.

Dark amber colour, almost no head. Aroma of milk chocolate and brandy. Sweet, vineous taste with a bit of a hop bite. Slightly bitter and boozy finish. Medium body, low carbonation.

Corked 37.5 cl bottle @ home (bottle #5838). Pours clear and dark reddish amber with a tiny white head. Aroma and flavour is booze, caramel, subtle smoke, and sugar – with an alcoholic finish.
