Black colour with beige creamy head. Coffee and nuts aroma. So sweet at taste, smooth with full bodied.

Black with a thin tan head, aroma of sweet vanilla and port, flavour of banana, chocolate, alcohol and dark syrup. The finish is smooth bitterness and some ash. Nice!

Dark brown color, some foam. Aromas of chocolate, coffee, leather & notes of red wine. Full body & high complexity. Sweetness & good balancing bitterness. Very enjoyable

The beer poured dark brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and almost white. Aroma had alcohol, malts and molasses. Palate was medium bodied and warming with lowish carbonation. Flavours were malts, hops, molasses, sweetness and hops. Aftertaste was sweet and bitter

Bottle at Kitty’s, Helsinki. Originally rated 04082012. Colour is dark brown with brownish white head. Aromas and flavours: Alcohol, chocolate, sweetness and malts. Horrible.

Deep dark brown with a beige head and a little sediment. Aroma is dates, liquorice, raisins, chocolate, anise. Syrupy mouthfeel, well balanced palate with a hint of umami on the finish. Taste is liquorice, molasses, raisins, chocolate, hint of soy sauce.

Un liquide brun rougeatre magnifique surmonté d’une tete génératrice de dentelle comme rarement j’ai vu. Un nez de coulis de raisins hyper malté, vraiment similaire à la raison d’extra, ça augure franchement bien. En bouche c’est une rondeur parfaite qui se déverse, tout le long de la déguste j’avais peine à y croire. Chocolat, raisins, malts foncés se laissent compléter par le baril de vin de façon surprenante. Dans la catégorie ’’intéressante idée sur papier mais est-ce que ça marche?", le gagnant est Brewdog...et c’est loin d’avoir toujours ete le cas.

Bottle (33cl). Very dark brown colour. Inch-thick beige head, good retention, leaves a wavy lace pattern. Very sweet malty aroma with raisins, molasses, oaked red wine, sherry, cream, coffee, cola. Full body, flat carbonation. Sweet taste, balanced by a notable, slightly vinegary, acidity and a mild bitterness. Extremely long bitter-sweet aftertaste.

Black with brown head - Sweet malt and wineus aroma - very good sweet malt body with dark fruits, some wine notes - Finish is lingering sweet dark fruits and malt with some nice alcohol heat in the back - very good and easy to enjoy on a cold winter night

Pours a deep, murky brown with a thick brown head. Aroma is dried fruits, oak, chocolate, subtle red wine nuances. Flavour is sweet and replicates the nose - lots of dried fruit, toast. Finish is sweet, tart, and roasted. So good.
