Bottle at beertasting with Carsten Bertelsen 19 / 6 2013. Very dark brown, almost no head. Thought this was a black ipa, but it is a belgian ale. Aroma, sweet berries(almost perfume) . Taste, berries, some whiskey notes.

Bottle from Stirchley wines. Black brown colour with a slight tan head. The fruit is present on the aroma, and more so on the taste, real bitter fruitiness. Also some liquorice.

0,375L bottle, bottle nr. 8547. Pours dark brown with tan head. The head doesn’t stay. Aroma is intense fruits, cocoa, raisins and some alcohol. Taste is intense berries, raspberries, dark chocolate, and oak. Finish is long dark chocolate bitter with berries. Overall: great brew.

Bottle @ BrewDog Edinburgh. Aroma of lots of ripe fruits, dried dark fruits. Pours very dark to black with tiny off-white head. Virtually no head is lasting. Taste is fruity, ripe fruit first, then sour fruit. Finish is fruity sweet, then sour and dry. Oily sugary texture. Light carbonation.

Draught @ Grunerløkka brygghus. Black with small head. Fruity with prominent chocolate aroma and taste. Very drinkable, the high alcohol content is barely noticable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Darkest, headless ruby brown and little else to it. Nose is a lot less heavy going than a year ago, Wink of creamy whisky. Initial taste is silky and full of berry, Earthy and lightly woody. Wholesomeness of the tayberries stands firm throughout, most Bashah like, with an underswept sweetness from the rest. There’s little bitterness or yeasty or malt here. It’s shapely and fruity and a hall of ageing fruitiness that will hold up for a while longer. Tinselly rich tartness, stoney fruitiness and a comforting barrell burn. Mouthfeel is surpsingly light and overly cooperative to the fruitiness, but doesn’t catch on the ABV. Cruelly sweet and fading finish, squeaky berry linger.

Drank and noted 30 January 2013. This beer is so full of berries. Smells of jam, tastes of fruity-ness.

Black with olmost no head, no carbonation - dark malt aroma with some hops - overly sweet malt body with some alcohol sting, very small hint of hops - sweet fruity finish with alcohol heat - This lacks bitterness, just a sweet alcoholoc mess , not a Black Ipa in my opinion

Bottle from my 2013 backlog, drank this pretty fresh. Black with a beige head. Aroma: blackberries, raspberries, licorice, a bit of chocolate. Taste: lots of berries, sweet licorice, light roast, some chocolate, light vinous (maybe just from the berries), wood. Medium-bodied. Very nice, best Abstrakt in a long while!
