Bottled, special series
AB:14 is the latest release in our Abstrakt series and is an oak aged Imperial Weizenbock. Expect a big, bold mouth-feel backed by some powerful banana, caramel, toffee, vanilla and spicy hits woven together with some classic weizen notes. All balanced by an eclectic yet bizarrely balanced variety of hops from America (Simcoe) the Czech (Saaz) and the UK (Bramling Cross).
The beer is at 10.2% ABV and has been aged on toasted French oak chips. As close to bannoffee pie as a beer can taste. Seriously.
This beer was the brainchild of our German Lead Brewer Franz. - See more at: http://www.brewdog.com/blog-article/impending-liquid-anarchy-some-upcoming-beers#sthash.Fvn7kB0i.dpuf

Aggressive under-ripe banana dominates scent. I love it. Some caramel, raisins, malt: all are swamped by the belligerent banana. Very sweet. Taste is again very sweet. Dominated by banana and toffee. Liquified banoffee pudding. Fairly oily and a little syrupy as it sits. Some warmth in the finish. It is an awesome novelty but becomes very cloying as you drink on.

375mL bottle, pours a cloudy dark orangey amber brown with a tiny beige head. Nose smells like banana, toffee, alcohol and candied sugar. Flavour is like a liquid bannoffee pie, with banana, toffee, candied sweetness and alcohol. Surprisingly tasteful, with a good balance. But difficult to drink due to the heat and abrasiveness. Cool gimmick beer but hard to drink.

Det här var en juste sak även om den var något spritig, smaken bar toner av karamell, råsocker och banan. Kroppen var stabil och balansen sådär...

Sugary, caramelly aroma with to much raisins. Dark amber colour, minimal head. Sweet caramelly (kolasnören) taste, too sweet. Full body, low carbonation. To sweet for my taste

Totalny odjazd. Słodki i mocny. Nie czuć, że to Weizen Bock. Leżakowanie w beczkach robi swoje. Jedno z najlepszych piw jakie piłem.

A decadent pudding of a beer, must be shared with others. Drink it blind, and you would probably guess its some sort of fortified wine. Delicious.
