COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A salt caramel popcorn imperial ale. Bourbon and rum barrel aged, this 12.8% ale has complex and twisting flavours. Bitter caramel, wood, smoke, spice, treacle and vanilla are all present and intertwine against a smooth and lightly chewy mouthfeel. The salt caramel popcorn lends subtle hints of a smoky brininess.

Deep mahagony coloured beer with a very fast fading caramel coloured fine head. On the nose aromas of caramelised dates, sugared red fruits and treacle develop. Also offers hints of wet leather, red wine, wood and is pretty complex overall. The taste is sweet with a notch of saltiness which makes it very pleasant with a bold slickness on the palate. NMore flavours of treacle, sweet red grapes and dates develop. Full bodied with a sweet long lasting well balanced lingering finish.

Smak: Som doft i stort. På minner om madeira.

375ml bottle, pours dark brown with a tiny head, sweet caramel, toffee malt texture, with fruitiness coming through with raisin, damson and blueberry. Little alcohol burn for the abv. Tastes like a very high quality barley wine, didn’t get much popcorn though! Excellent

@ Bishop Molbergs, Brewdog Tap-Takeover. Kraftt arom, kanske lite russin. Fin fyllighet i smak och kropp, kraftig även där.

Bottle bought @ Systembolaget. Pours dark amber with a small fizzy brownish beige head that quickly dissipates without leaving any trace on the glass. Smell is sweet and malty with caramel, charred wood, burning bourbon and rum, vanilla fudge, toffee, coconut shaving golden syrup, hay, soil and salt water taffy. Taste is sweet, tiny bitter, salty and malty with caramel, toffee, vanilla fudge, charred wood, raisins, bourbon, toasted coconut, caramelized almonds, hay, moist soil, peppery burning rum, sweet soy sauce, golden syrup and maple syrup. Mouthfeel is round, chewy, boozy, tiny viscous and medium to full bodied. Finish is sweet, tiny bitter, salty and malty with caramel, toffee, maple syrup, charred wood, raisins in rum, vanilla fudge, coconut shavings and bourbon. A very pleasant surprise... Sweet, heavily barrel aged, intriguingly salty sipper.

Bottle, 03/01/2014. Pours dark brown, slight ruby tint, thin white head fades relatively quickly, medium ring of lacing around the glass. Aroma is chewy, rich toffee and vanilla, digging a bit deeper comes the sweet caramel popcorn, fruity rum, wood, darker chocolate roast. Taste is sweet caramel, butterscotch, subtle salty character with dark fruity malts, sweet bourbon with prominent vanilla, lingering spiciness, alcohol. Thick, round body. Tasty, good entry in the series.

Bottle. Nice dark brown color with very short lasting white head. Wonderful aroma of caramel some dried fruits. Taste is caramel with biscuits and some hints of salt and some alcohol. Aftertaste is also caramel with some alcohol. Liked this but the alcohol should have been hidden a little bit more. I think this would age very well.
