Aroma: Smelling of sweet bread, ripe dates, white chocolate and vanilla.
Appearance: A dark chestnut colored beer. A low off-white head with no lacing and good curtains.
Taste: Tasting caramel, bread, sweet chocolate, alcohol and vanilla beans.
Palate: No carbonation, a soft and oily texture. A big body with a slightly dry finish.

Bottle poured into a fluted glass -- aroma was pleasant and powerful. Strong aged caramel/vanilla on the nose. Good looking cloudy color. A nice drink. Flavor followed the aroma through, not a very deep beer, but it was very nice. Definitely something to drink and converse or discuss. Well worth it.

A soft tan head on a dark brown body. The nose is powerful featuring brown sugar, some sourness, booze, dark berries and a touch of vanilla. The Abstrakt series has a range of strengths, but hitting complex dark tastes is its strongest. This one is up there with the best of them. The taste profile features dark brown sugar, figs, dates, caramel and tobacco. There is little if any Belgian yeast but undertastes of nutmeg, plums, caramel, vanilla and balancing hops add to this dark taste adventure. One of the very best.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Ariel’s place. Thanks Stas & Max. Deep amber-brown. Aroma of caramel, cardboard, dark fruits and alcohol. Sweet flavor with caramel, dark fruits, cardboard and alcohol. Medium-bodied. Not my thing.

Bottle (375ml) from Vinmonopolet, Oslo. Dark reddish golden brown colour. Small, short-lived head that leaves a thin ring, no lacing. Aroma of sweet dried fruit, plums, raisins, tobacco leaves. Full body, soft/flat carbonation. Sweet fruity taste, balanced by some acidity, low bitterness. Mildly tannic finish with a little alcohol burn.
