330ml bottle. Pours black-brown with a foamy beige head that leaves some lacing and aroma of malt, smoke, chocolate, treacle, dark fruits. Roasted malt flavour with coffee, chocolate, dark fruit notes and some lingering bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bodied, medium carbonation, roast bitter finish. Quite drinkable.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle (330 ml). From FondueVoodoo, thanks! Dark reddish brown with a medium fully lasting beige head and good lacing. Aroma is mostly of vanilla along light roasted notes, caramel, mild fruity presence, chocolate and a touch of sweetness. Taste is slightly to moderately sweet (not cloying) with vanilla, chocolate, light caramel, light roasted notes and mild fruitiness. Light body. Moderate/medium carbonation. Fluffy mouthfeel. It might be a than thin on the palate, but it’s still quite complex and really well balanced. Drinkable for a Porter. Really good.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Delicious. Surprisingly balanced all the tastes. The fruits, the hops, the chocolate and porter malts into a extremely drinkable beer. Definately the sum is more than its parts.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a deep black color and a very weak tan head that immediately settles down to a small lacing. The aroma is slightly roasted along with some fruity smell, later I could also smell some caramel. The taste is bitter with some coffee in the back - there’s really not much there, too bad. It’s drinkable, although feels slightly stale, but not exactly what I expect from BrewDog.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Black body small head actually. A moderate dark malty aroma, whole wheat bread, cane sugar, pleasant foresty hints, but not overly expressive. Refined even, with a clean yeast. Light bitterness for Brew Dog and with moderate malty backup. It?s good but not as characterful as I hoped. I don?t expect an imperial body, but just a bit more uniqueness.
