Bottle split with mcberko. Pours a translucent brown / red with a very small head. Aroma of roasted malts, caramel, and light coffee. Flavour of roasted malts, caramel, toasted nuts, and some wood. Medium bodied. A little thin, but not bad for a porter.

Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm. Near black, small head. Raisiny nose. Dryish with clean, hard mouthfeel. Extremely hard and sharp. Salty and fruity with aluminium and green apples. Primitive, harsh and shallow. What I would expect Bud Light Porter to taste like.

Bottle from Utobeeer. Pours opaque black with very big foam off white head, which stays well. Nose is alcoholic engine oil, roasted barley malt, raspberry off the hops and chocolate underneath that. Good array of aromas competing with each other. Taste is very nice. Getting the chocoalte and coffee, but also the citrous, raspberry and ale fruit off the hops. Near perfect balance of interesting flavours, which mixes ale character with choc and coffee stout character. Has a sort of lactic creaminess on the finish too.

Black with brown head - malty aroma with hints of roast and caramel - good malt body with roasted malts, caramle and coffee - good lingering malt finish - this was very good

(33 cl bottle; BBD: April 1st 2014) Pours black with medium, toffee head and beautiful lacework. Aroma is strangely subdued to the point of being faint. Possibly some banana. Watery on the palate, medium-bodied with medium carbonation and an astringent finish. Taste is slightly dark and bitter but not by much. Bland and boring. Girlfriend says: "It’s metallic."

Pours a beige head with an almost black body, only brown around the edges. I really like the sweetness which blends real nice with the dark caramel and roasted coffee bean aroma. I can also detect some licorice, especially in the finish mixed with cereal (corn flakes) and smoke. Delicious porter!

33cl bottle from Utobeer, London. Pitch black, opaque color, thick rough beige to light brown head. Smell lots of coffee and roastyness. Taste roasty, coffee, dark and burned malts. Average carbo, low to medium body.

Dark deep brown to black, cloudy. Light brown frothy head, towards creamy. A dominant roasty coffee aroma. The flavours of roast coffee get company of more burned malt with smoked bacon, dark chocolate, and some sweetness and medium bitterness in the end. Medium to full bodied with a oily mouthfeel.Soft carbo. Personally I could not ask for more for a porter. A little more aromas would have made this close to top score. The roasty malts and the hops are very well balanced, and has a long duration. Delicious!

330ml bottle from IPB.
Appearance : Deep amber with medium foamy brown head. Not much lacing.
Aroma : Roasted malt with caramel and light coffee. Light chocolate and light vanilla.
Taste : Roasted malt with light smoky notes. Caramel and light coffee. Finish has notes of caramel with coffee. Light sweetness. Body is a bit thin. Nice soft carbonation. No alcohol.
Overall : Quite drinkable. Quite complex. Maybe a bit too much caramel. Nice complex nose with vanilla, coffee, chocolate... Quite enjoyable. Definitely sessionable. Nice finish. Gets better as it warms up. Nicely done. Well balanced.
