Bottle from brewdog website. Pours black with a thin tanned head. Full of vanilla and chocolate aroma. Subtle coffee and vanilla taste. One of my favourite brewdogs.

Bottle at Mason and Taylor. Black coloured with small beige head. Aroma is boozy, coffee liqueur and lots of vanilla. Maybe even a touch of smoke. Very smooth in the mouth and the vanilla really comes through. Bit of kahlua too. Always one of my favourite BrewDog’s. Lovely!

Bouteille de 330ml. BB 15/03/2012.

Bottle. Very dark liquid with some faint highlights when held to light. Complex rooty lightly smoked malty scent. Soft body. Flavor is cigar, chocolate, molasses, and a bit of of burnt sugar.

@ Copenhagen festival 2011. The aroma has coffee, roast, chocolate. Black coloured beer with an off-white head. The taste is a bit sweet, slightly bitter, has roast, caramel, coffee and chocolate. Dry mouthfeel. Good, straightforward.

330mL bottle, pours dark brown / black with a small beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, dry cocoa, and some feint coffee. Flavour of dry roasted malts, with little else. Nice dry palate and finish. Solid porter but nothing more.

Poured out dark brown brew with reddish hues and a small light brown head that lives as a ring. Has a mellow nose based around roasted malts and a fruity background. Everything is mild - chocolate, vanilla, orange, something that faintly reminds me of oatmeal and faint coffee. Watching the Winnipeg Jets get intro’d for the first game in WInnipeg in 15 years - awesome! Tasty and easy to consume quickly with its well balanced mellow qualities. Roasty, light bitterness, a tartness that I didn’t expect, mild chocolate, vanilla, tasty and soothing. Light carbonation, almost medium bodied, I enjoyed it.

Pours a pitch black with a thin and short-lived tan head and a mild, sweet dark malt aroma - fig, raisin. Lovely fruity malt taste with light chocolate and earthy notes in the finish. Fantastic thick body, light carbonation. Very, very sessionable for a porter. Good.
