3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Black-brown pour with a touch of light toffee and smoke. Fairly clean tasting but fairly rich and Chewy. A kittle bit of sweetness and some toffee. Treacle as well as a clean lingering faint leathery component. Tasty, tasty stuff.

3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Private order. Pours black, and eventually yields only a fraction of its off-white head, with lots of lace dots. Neutral aroma. Very good porter, excellent smooth drinkability, with a balanced inclusion of a little edge. A tad of burnt aftertaste. Above average mouthfeel.Recommended.

From the bottle. Poured a deep brown with a small off-white head. Lots of caramel, coffee, and malts in this one, and the carbonation gives way to a smooth run across the palate.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours black with a large, fading tan head.
Nose shows roasted coffee, vanilla and dark sugar.
Similarly roasty flavours, but with quite a lot of underlying sweetness. The roasted malt seems be a bit full-on (not to mention plain), especially when you add in the fair whack of resinous hops and bitterness in the finish.
Carbonation is a little too full-on.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
330ml bottle. Pours a chestnut-flashed black, with a moderate-sized, creamy beige head. Turkish coffee, molasses and burnt caramel abound on the nose, creating an alluringly dark and sweet aroma. Caramel is the first apparent flavour, with some mild herbal hops coming in next. A long, luscious body of bitter dark chocolate and toffee, with some berry notes lingers on into the finish, where a touch of bittersweet Turkish coffee joins it. A slightly woody aftertaste complements the rest of the beer beautifully. Unlike the typically bombastic style of Brewdog, this is a beer of restraint and finesse, and is an exemplary porter, showing just how good the style can be when brewed with class.
