Bottle. Dark brown body, medium tan head. Aroma has strange notes of rust and later some roast and hops too. Typical roasty/malty taste with medium hoppiness. Very average, perhaps even a bit thin. I don’t get the vanilla, maybe only in the other sense of the word.

Very dark brown even black colour with a pillowy tan head. Aromas of roast chocolate malts, coconut, hay and dried red fruits develop. Lightly effervescent with a thin-slick texture and a medium body. Roast malt bitterness with some chocolatey sweetness develop on the palate, pretty harmonic. The finish is lasting and offers mainly a roast bitterness. Pretty good porter!

Nice to revisit this. Used to pick it up from the supermarket back in the day. On keg at BrewDog Edinburgh. Pours dark with tan head. Aroma of dark malts, slight smoke and choc vanilla. Taste dark malts, hops and some spice. Quite light and thin. Nice

Keg at brewdog bar, Sheffield. Black with not much head. Aroma is smoke and vanilla, a bit milky too with some farmhouse too. Taste is smoky and dry with subtle bitterness. A bit too fizzy and thin for me, although the abv here says 5.2, so maybe a different batch.
