33cl bottle from Vinmonopolet. Labelled as Høst Porter. Best before 2012-06-24. Batch 253. It poured a dark brown colour with a massive head as well as some carbonation. Aroma is roasted malts, coffee. Others have noted cocoa, but I can’t detect it myself. Flavour is like a spiced porter. Notes of pepper, coffee, some hops and of course roasted malts. Some dried fruits perhaps. Medium long aftertaste.

Buona. Aroma di cioccolato e malto tostato. Al palato ingresso cioccolatoso con qualche tocco di liquirizia e un tocco di sale. Buona ma forse un pò troppo stucchevole nel finale. Resta comunque un ottima birra, da provare.

Aroma: Raisins, leather, milky coffee

Appearance: Inky black body with red highlights. Small tan head than fades to nothing. Slight lacing.

Taste: Roasted malt, liquorice, chocolate and pear. Delicious.

Palate: Silky smooth texture and a medium mouthfeel. Light carbonation. The 6.2% ABV is barely noticeable.

Overall: I’m not a huge fan of dark beers, but this is fantastic. Very drinkable and full of complex flavours.

Först möter tungan fruktighet och beska sedan framträder en krämig smak av mjölkchoklad och kaffe med en bitter ton från mörkchoklad. God och spännande men inte helt balanserad.

Bottle from the BrewDog website. An inky black beer with ruby red highlights. It has a sweet strong milk chocolate and red fruity flavour, roasted coffee and leather notes on the finish. Superb!

Bottle: Clear red/brown colour, with a nice creamy yellow head. Aroma is dominated of a mix of smokey, tar, coffee, dark choclate and fruits, werry nice mix! Flavor had a surpicely thin mouth feeling of caramelly, coffee, dark choclate and brown sugar!, thin body and a thin to medium coffee, caramelly finish.

Slight bitter aroma at first with warm chocolate undertones and a nice consistant roasty malt flavours adding to the aroma. Slightly too watery body for my licking but over all a nice porter that went down well.

Bottle. Darkest tan that admits just a little light through. Minimal head. Slightly fruity aroma. Decent carbonation. Taste is also a a bit fruity (raisin? plum?) with a hint of chocolate. Decent if a little thin & simple.

This is just pretty average - quite an old bottle so maybe it was better fresh but for me just fell a bit flat
