Bottle. Nice creamy head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are rich hops, caramel, nuts, flowers and malt. Yummy.

Bottle at home - 23/09/12 thanks to Steve (Beers I’ve known). Hazy reddish amber with a big frothy off-white head. Nose comprises hops, biscuit malts, light fruit and toffee tones and a whiff of glue. Malt heavy in the flavour, toffee, biscuit and a little orange and fruit. Medium bodied, soft but quite evident carbonation and a little on the wet side. Drinkable but I wouldn’t be seeking this one out.

Pours clear golden color with a small head. Aroma of fruits, malts and grass. Flavor of mild hops, hay, caramel and malts, some mild fruits also. Boring.

0,33 l bottle, bought online at Brewdog-shop.
Poured amber-brown with a small creamy tan head. Moderated aroma with light resin, caramel, citrusses. Medium bodied with light caramel, grassy grapefruit bitterness. Drinkable, not a special one.

Biscuit malt with hints to dark fruit mixed with sour apple and spice and a smokey note which is interesting. Quite a sweet brew which has hints of having hung about in the bottle to long. Reminds me of sweeter, less hoppy version of 5am Saint.

33cl bottle from Appellation Wines. Pours a beautiful amber colour with a red tinge. The nose is of ginger bread and something tangy that I can’t put my finger on. The taste is of cake mixture, crunchy red fruit, possibly cranberries, then biscuits to finish. The palate is medium bodied with a tangy texture and a fairly clean finish. Overall, good but more interesting than good.

The AlphaDog is great with fatty, heavy food, such as pork, and is perfectly heavy for an ale. It unfortunately lacks a little in taste and flavour.

33cl Bottle. Poors hazy amber/red with beige head. Aroma is caramel, malt, peache, apple. Taste a bit sour bitter, sweet. Mouth-feel thin. Desent beer, nothing extraordinary.
