3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Frenger (367) - Derby, Alabama, ENGLAND - APR 15, 2012
Off keg at brewdog nottingham. Very floral, tasty and light. Not my usual sort of beer but very enjoyable.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Scopey (3243) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 12, 2012
Tap at Brewdog Camden. It pours clear amber, with a thick off-white head. The nose is very herbal (rosemary, oregano, basil), hay, grass, floral, underlying sweetness and plastercine - a bit like potpourri actually! The taste is very herbal, peppery (juniper?), hay, floral, grass, icing sugar, some metal and a hint of citrus, with a very dry, somewhat herbal finish. Well hidden alcohol Medium body and moderate-high carbonation (perhaps a bit too much). Balance not quite there for me. Interesting and perhaps with a few tweaks could be much better.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 shoulderbroken (1144) - Tokyo, JAPAN - APR 12, 2012
Keg at Brewdog Camden. Clear amber coloured, off-white fluffy head. Aroma is caramel, bit herbal, touch of bubblegum, and quite sweet. Taste is malty, toffee, bit like a vienna, but with herbs and berries. Nice and crisp. Quite unusual, and quite nice.
3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Big_Dunc (35) - Glasgow, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - APR 10, 2012
On tap at BrewDog Glasgow, this had just gone on and was an interesting taste, very sweet and with essences of summer fruits. Not my preferred style however very nice. I would really enjoy it on a summer day sitting outside in the sun as it is very refreshing.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 harrisoni (10911) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - APR 9, 2012
7.4%. on tap at brewdog camden. Clear amber colour thin near white head. Spicy herbal aroma. Yes very herbal in mouth. Mixed dried herbs like you would put into italian cooking but not in a bad way. Hides alcohol well. Decent if odd
