Fuck the system. Forget what you know. What has been. Bow to no one. History is bereft. Reorder. Disorder. Embrace the unknown. The groundbreaking. The challenging. The ichorous revolution is upon us. Try until your fingers bleed and your mind is numb.Try harder. Try this. Try that. Try the other. Try what hasn’t been tried. Then try again. Keep trying. Forge the new. The molten elixir awakens.

A 16.5% IPA Evolution. Taking our favourite beer style to the next level, Anarchist Alchemist is a triple dry hopped triple IPA. Did not think triple IPAs existed? Neither did we. So we brewed one.

Bottle from Brewdog online shop, shared with jeevan. A bit of a boozy, sugary mess, as I recall.

Bottle 0,33l. Pours a dark amber colour with a medium head that leaves a big nice lacing. Aroma of hops, alcohol, caramel and toasted malts, lots of toffee and the faintest touch of resin. Taste of sweet malts, dominating the palate, nice lengthy bitterness. Oily texture. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

0,33 l bottle, Csakajósör - rated one year before, just from my notes
Pours golden brown with not much head. Aroma is malty with an alcohol kick. Pretty nice to sup, finishes sweet and alcoholic with some grapefruit hops in there. As it warms up, it becomes more pleasant and becomes a nice fruity barley wine.

Cold bottle, BB March 2017 so I guess this was bottled over 18 months ago. Looks a murky orange/red with a small white head. Looks good. Smell - rosewater, toffee, slight earth. Body is medium, carbonation medium too. Taste - very sweet malts, caramel, slight liquorice, earthy, spice, alcoholic but not sharp at all and hiding the 14% extremely well. Also no bitterness or astringency. I’m sure that this was once a great TIPA. With a bit of age and oxidation, it’s a pretty good barley wine.

Bottle from Brewdog website. Dark amber coloured with a very sharp red fruit and bitter hoppy flavour, notes of burnt orange, currants, vanilla and an extremely warming spicy hoppy finish

Bottle. Amber colour not much head. Aroma is very boozy, bit of pee about it too, grapefruit. Taste is good, bit of a burn, boozy fruit, treacle. Thick and chewy. Bitter too. Surprised how nice it was. Whole bottle would be tough, but glass was good.
