stravale (2103) - Near Carrick-on-Shannon, IRELAND - APR 25, 2013
Bottle from BrewDog [230413] - around a year old. Rate #1300
Dark orange, clear, frothy off white head, some lacing
Aroma of barley sugar malts, caramelised scorched oranges, soft grassy hop, slight perfumy note, hops have obviously not lasted
Taste as aroma, boozy boozy, sweet barley sugar malts, fruity caramel, burnt orange, some bitter hops - it’s too old now tbh, too malty
Palate - Soft carb, full body, sweet ruch palte, sweet sugary malts, lots of alcohol burn. Finish of booze, smooth, same as main flavour
Overall - Big booze, alcohol burn, too malty, hops have diminished, it’s not working for me. However, there are some rich fruity caramelised orange malts in there which are good. Overall, I should have drunk this when it came out

From a bottle, pours golden brown with not much head, aroma is very malty with an alcohol kick. Pretty nice to sup, finishes sweet and alcoholic with some grapefruit hops in there. As it warms up, it becomes more pleasant and becomes a nice fruity barley wine.. A couple extra marks for being 14%

Tinco (566) - Linköping, SWEDEN - MAR 11, 2013
Had this fresh but found it a bit too boozy so now drinking a 1+ year old bottle. Looks: Almost clear deep orange with a fluffy off white head. Aroma: lots of caramel, sweet fruits, sweet orange, some pine, grapefruit, toffee, pretty well hidden booze. Taste: big sweetness, medium bitterness with grapefruit notes. Alot of caramel and sweet fruits, raisins, toffee, booze, red berries, orange. Drinks like a boozy barleywine! Nice!

jonnyguns (913) - AUSTRALIA - MAR 6, 2013
Bottle from mane liquour. Pours a reddish brown with next to no head. Aroma is huge resin and pine hops! Maybe some sweet fruits too but smells like the huge beer it is. Taste is a big malty backbone, lots of hops. Really oily, full mouthfeel. Warm finish but is to be expected with such a huge beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

ClubGonzo (4028) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAR 4, 2013
Bottle, shared with Bergen Beer Geek Tasting Crew. Pours a deep amber body with a copper taint and a tiny white head. Nose is that slightly undefinable "BrewDog" aroma; peaches, dense caramel, herbal touches, hints of pine and alcohol. Taste is herbal peachy tones at first, then solid sweet syrupy malt tones, before the slightly grassy bitter finish tones it off. Hints of earthy leaves. Full body, medium carbonation. Warming alcohol. Pretty nice high-strength double (or is it triple?) IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bov (9509) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - FEB 28, 2013
from Erzbierschof - cloudy dark red-amber beer with a moderate foam left; strong hoppy aroma of peaches and apricots, slightly resiney; a bit oily, robust malt backbone, slightly chewy and very bitter; long fruity hoppy finish with notes of honey, marzipan, peaches, tea and pine needles; some residual sweetness and a warming alcohol presence
