33 cl bottle. Very hoppy with some alcoholy nose. Very fruity, pineapple, mango. Heavy in bitterness, Full body, nicely balanced. Doesnt give the alcohol away too mutch (14%abv) But kinda expensive for the taste.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle from Local Pub, Halandri
Aroma: Very rich sweet-bitter nose (more on the sweett side), with lots and lots of caramel goodness. Alcohol is evident, too, but in a good way. Rich, earthy, hoppy currents and some peach and plum fruity notes. Lovely.
Mouthfeel: Quite a mouthful. A big beer, with reasonable carbonation and a sticky feel.
Taste: Huge flavors here. Too much malt presence, nice hops. Sweet, syrupy taste. Peppery, earthy hops underneath. Piny, carameley, fruity touches on the palate. Not particularly bitter, not for this amount of malt.
Finish: Layers and layers of sweet, tart, crisp flavours develop into a warm finish, not unlike that of a brandy. Great.
Overall: More like a barley wine, if you ask me. Still, this is one seriously good beer.

10th April 2012
Clear bright amber beer. Massive pale cream coloured head. The head tastes of intense sweet grassy hops. Palate is silky smooth. Sweet rich hops - sweet pine, grass and skunk. Honey malt. A little aniseed alcohol. Mild minerals. Generally hides the abv well.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle: The aroma is very intensive, full of resin, hop essence and some sweet malt notes. Amber to orange color, off-white foamy head. Flavor is also full and oily, medium sweet, hints of candies and caramel. Dominant hop flavor, full of resin, herbs, alcohol. LOvely hop notes, bit too alcoholic.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
33cl from cervezalandia. Nice orange, amber color. Thin white head. Low to medium carbonation. Very nice fruity, hoppy and herby aroma, but overall it’s a fair beer. It’s a shame...

2.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pours a hazy copper with a typical head. Aromas of pine, caramel, and grass. Not expecting what I got from my first sip. Sweet malts and a syrupy warming down the throat. I am trying to appreciate this, but it is cloying and too aggressive.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Vinmonopolet Storo enjoyed at home
Dark copper, beige head that falls down quite fast. Smells of grapefruit, pine, caramel and candy. Heavy sweet, a real cerial soup, candy, this is a sugar bomb - too much on the sweet side; with a sting of alcohol to mess it up more. Oily texture, full body, soft carbonation. Heavy bitter finish with pine and resins. A imperial ipa where imperial stands for the extreme sweetness you get. It’s so sweet the bitterness is almost killed off even though it’s quite heavy. The hops are quite nice; but the sugar is in pole position here

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle @ tasting. Aroma is (rubbing) alcohol, sharp hops, herbs. Flavour is an overkill of hops and alcohol. Just too much.
