4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Clearish amber. Malt malt malt malt. Did I mention the aroma of malt? Also traces of muscat. Limited carbonation with an incredibly smooth mouthfeel that coats the mouth. Elements of muscat and a slight tartness, leading into a pleasant, cleansing bitterness. Incredibly balanced. The huge alcohol content isn't even noticed. This is an outstanding beer and one of my favourites. The elements of fortified wine take it to another level. BrewDogs might get criticised by some (they're certainly left of centre) but I think they're great. Well worth the $25 for a 330ml bottle shared with good, like minded mates.

Trevlig doft trots att den är något år. (Gamla bryggeriet?) ganska tung. Viss alkoholton anas. Krämig. Delar en flarra på tre och känns ganska lagom.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
330ml bottle. Pours a hazy medium amber, with a smallish off-white head, which lasts well and leaves reasonable lacing. The aroma has strong pine resin and floral hops notes set against a fair amount of sweet alcohol, some berry notes and toffee malt. Powerful white pepper and pine resin hops up front lead into warming, sweet alcohol. There is a touch of Vegemite leading into some toffee malt in the mid-palate, with peppery hops, port and sweet alocohol in the finish. BrewDog make a lot of quite out there beers, most of which they pull off with aplomb. This one, however, is a bit of a miss. The hops flavours are actually quite pleasant, but they are dominated by the massive 14% ABV. If it was an imperial stout, it could handle that amount of alcohol, but in this imperial IPA it dominates the flavour way too much.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
330ml bottle. Dark amber redish color. Tiny to almost no head. Mango, fruity, bubblegum, burnt sugar in aroma. Ohh and grassy hops as well. Alcohol and sugars mixed with tropical fruits dominate the flavor. Way too sweet and alcoholic. Off balanced.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Slight haze to the amber color. Slim off white head. Fades quickly leaving nothing behind. Big malt aroma. A nice floral bouquet made up if hops. Citrus. Malty flavor. Slightly cloying but the hops and bitterness balance it out. Pretty good.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Citrusy aroma, some grapefruit, rather sweet hint of peach(?) alcohol very apparent. Overall experience reminded me of a bourbon-like drink.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle at home. The colour is golden orange with a small light beige head. Sour hoppy aroma with pine, grapefruit and herbal hops. More herbal hops in a powerful flavour with alcohol, marzipan and grapefruit. Rich and slick mouth feel, and a medium to heavy bitterness. Powerful and balanced DIPA but maybe too much alcohol for my liking.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Brewdog.com (£9.99, 330ml):
Strong, bitter hops and a good helping of alcohol mixed with some tropical fruit notes kicks things off quite well. There is some citrus notes, grapefruit and some sweeter malts coming through with some vanilla and some grain too. Itís not as harsh on the nose as I was expecting.
Clear, bright, orange amber colour with a half centimetre tall and bubbly head that is a very light tan colour. Head turns patchy lacing after a couple moments.
Sweet with some subdued hops and a touch of vanilla along with huge amounts of alcohol and grain. There is some citrus, apricot and pine with some spice and pepper too. The taste is quite nice but then all of a sudden the alcohol takes over.
Full bodied and backed up with huge amounts of alcohol and grain. There beer is quite fruits and sweet with a strong and dry finish that feels quite thick and oily.
Started really nice yet very strong double IPA (well triple IPA apparently) with a lot of bitter hops and sweetness coupled with tonnes of alcohol but as the drink progressed it managed to settle down some and turn it to a very strong and warming beer that I spent well over an hour drinking. Not bad but not really great either.
