COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Fuck the system. Forget what you know. What has been. Bow to no one. History is bereft. Reorder. Disorder. Embrace the unknown. The groundbreaking. The challenging. The ichorous revolution is upon us. Try until your fingers bleed and your mind is numb.Try harder. Try this. Try that. Try the other. Try what hasn’t been tried. Then try again. Keep trying. Forge the new. The molten elixir awakens.

A 16.5% IPA Evolution. Taking our favourite beer style to the next level, Anarchist Alchemist is a triple dry hopped triple IPA. Did not think triple IPAs existed? Neither did we. So we brewed one.

33cl bottle, BB 05/06/2017, batch#185. Continuing the serie of gimmick beers by Brewdog, one can wonder, would you actually buy a case of this and store it? no, a one-time try gimmick type of purchase for me.

Big, sticky, Hugely hoppy but never bracingly bitter. Well made, clean and enjoyable. Doesn’t really distinguish itself except for the BW esque like body, but doesn’t put a foot wrong either. Reminds me of a beefed up Hopsickle, with a little less personality.

Bottle. Clear light amber with small white head. Aroma is heavy sweet and intense hops with notes of pineapple and citrus fruits. Also some malt and lots of caramel. Taste is soft and sweet all the way. Caramel, warming alcohol, mango, sweet sticky finish.

Bottle at Beer Temple. Pours clear amber with an off white head. Aroma of resin, caramel, citrus, apricot. Flavour is heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Full bodied with soft carbonation. Closer to a barley wine than an IPA, with a thick oily feel.

Deep hazy caramel brown colour with a tan head that leaves a fine lacing. Rich grape hoppy and fruity aroma. Full body. Well balanced sweetness and rich bitter. Oily texture. Well hidden alcohol. Very fruity and rich grape hoppy flavour.

Bottle (33cl) from Ølbutikken, Copenhagen. Finger-thick offwhite, sticky head, good retention, settles as a thin film with bubbly islands. Clear copper/amber colour. Intense, but not in-yer-face, hoppy aroma, with concentrated citrus notes, caramel, resin. Full body (naturally), average carbonation. Semi-sweet taste with a powerful bitterness that is somehow kept in check by the high alcohol content, with very impressive results. The high ABV manifests itself in body rather than taste. Lovely, long aftertaste of resiny bitterness.

Bottle. Orange, very clear appearance with frothy, quickly disappearing head. Aroma is very, very fruity (dried peaches, honey) with a whiskey and pepper notes in it. Taste is really bittersweet, more like a barleywine because of alcohol notes. Beer has light, oily body with lively carbonation. Aftertaste is definitely bitter, like whiskey and lemon zest with refreshing honey note. Overally it is well worth the pricing tag.

Dark amber with a frothy white head. Aroma: hops, malt, toffee, alcohol, oak, red grape, pepper. Hops hops hops. Very dry and bitter initially which sweetens a lot. Strong alcohol warmth which packs a punch. This has a massive set of aromas and flavours. Low carbonation. Hops, toffee, mandarin, cognac, pine, banana skin, red grape, pepper spice. Much more of a barleywine in my opinion.

Bottle @ home.....It pours clear dark amber with a small fluffy off white head.... The aroma is flowers, hoppy, fruits and pine.... The flavor is flowers, sweet caramel, alcohol and dark fruits.... the alcohol is very profound.....
