COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
After two tempestuous months aging aboard BrewDog founder James Watt’s mackerel trawler on the North Atlantic, Atlantic IPA will be the first commercially available, genuine sea-aged IPA in two centuries - a project which is typical of the scale, audacity and boldness characteristic of BrewDog in its quest to take the UK beer industry by storm.

Botella, thanks for sharing this one Pinball. Unclear orange looking colour, nice medium white head leaving a good lacing. Fruity sweet hoppy woody aroma. Good mouthfeel indeed. The flavour has a very good hoppiness with wood, a pleasant sweetness, fruits, toasty malt and some spice.

Old style IPA from the Brewdog boys. Malty, sweetness on the nose with a hint of bananas and chocolate. taste is too malty to be a big hoppy IPA but still rather drinkable!

Bottle. Very high and ling lasting off-whiter creamy head. Hazy orange body. Mild fruity vanilla liquorice aroma. Mild and relatively sweet fruity vanilla liquorice flavor with grassy notes: Low carbonation. Long dry and yet relatively sweet aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel. Alcohol well hidden.

33 cL bottle. Pours hazy dark orange with a small off-white to orange head. Aroma is dry and roasted malty, light spiced hoppy too. Caramelish and mild roasted initial flavour followed by a subtle liqourice hops like note. Crisp bitter and mild spiced. Crisp malty and hoppy flavoured finish, reminds a bit about Mikkellers Vikings Return.

Bottle in the rake. Aroma has an inital kick of chocolate malt + some toffee malts, but a lightly tannic woodyness and floral citrus hoppyness comes in and smoothes it out, some yeasty esters too. Taste is very interesting, toffee malts comes but are washed away quickly by a citrus even verging on plasticy hop character thats then cleaned off with bitterness. The alc is really well hidden here and the carbonation is very soft. I could have easily sat and drank the whole bottle in a matter of minutes, but i was working so had to go sit in the sun.

Bottled. Hazy gold/ruby beer. Modearate aroma, a whiff of yeast, perhaps. Spicy, the elements blend very well together - shaken, not stirred. Fine crisp bitter zing in the finish. Very drinkable.

Pint at Newcastle Arms. Amber pint with no head. Aroma is very hoppy, bitter and some alcohol. Taste is decent, lots of hops, quite dry and straw/grass flavours, quite earthy and rustic feeling, with a little sweetness to balance the hops. This is quite enjoyable, and I prefer it to the Punk IPA version.

Cask conditioned - gravity dispense Wellington Birmingham A copper coloured beer with a whitish head. Subdued hop notes in the aroma. Nice and full bodied with good alcohol notes but not that thrash of hops I was desiring. Nice fruits and bitterness without any citrus to speak of.
