3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
33 cl bottle @ home. Batch #118: bottled on 17.04.2013 (wtf?)
Aroma is rather stinging with oaky notes, whisky and smoke. Like a mixture of oud bruin and whisky. Flavour is slightly sweet with very salty whisky notes and some distant oaky notes. Interesting stuff.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
33cl bottle. Pours transparent orange with medium white frothy head. Caramelish aroma with fruits added, evoques sweetness. The flavour is really oaky, pretty much a blend of whisky and white grape, with some fruitiness added as well. The mouthfeel is light/medium, soft carbonation. Weird, not bad though.

Bitter flavor of hops, a bit of floral and a bit stale, lots of wood and some funky vinous notes. Medium-bodied. Kinda weird.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
8th June 2012
Hazy amber beer, tidy off white head. Mildly crisp palate, fairly dry. Vanilla oak and a little sour whisky, quite mild and in good balance with the oak. Palate turns softer and sublte orange hops appear before a sei dry finish. Not bad! A bit off the beaten track.

Bottle @ Kiss The Kitchen Floor or better known as ZZT VI (2013): kindly shared by Martinus:
Medium to smaller sized light white head which changes into a lacing on top of a hazy yellow/orange colored beer.
Aromas of vinous notes, nettle, lemon, hops, grapefruit, spicy and floral.
Flavours of spices, hops, citrus, grapefruit, floral, bitters, malts, hint of caramel and something light sweet ish...
Aftertaste is bitter, spicy, hops, floral, malts and something herbal.
Low carbo, soft spicy mouthfeel, good medium body and a light watery texture.
Quite a nice beer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle at Taps Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a clear amber with a thin white head and medium carbonation. The aroma is dominated by the oak and whisky. There’s nothing wrong with that! The flavour is rich, oaky and it tastes like the whisky was poured into the mix rather than being gently absorbed from the barrel. The whisky burns a little, but its not overpowering. I don’t think there’s much middle ground with this beer, you will either love it or hate it. I thought is was great. It’s an ideal beer to introduce a whisky drinker to the world of beer. You can almost chew the oak!
