COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
keg,series
All revved up and ready to go, Blitz Cherry is the latest in our series of Berlinerweisse fruit beers. It’s taking it easy in terms of strength at a modest 2.1% ABV, but the 200kg of sour cherries will shoot you in the back. It has a real sour cherry kick, and is an incredible shade of red. It’s a complex tongue twisting beer, especially given the low ABV. Every Blitz we brew is different, due to the spontaneous souring process, and this particular version has a great blend of all the different flavours we look for in a Berlinerwiesse, and an effervescent champagne mouthfeel.

On tap at Patrick’s. It’s a hazy pinkish copper coloured beer with a small dense pinkish white head. There’s a fine fruity, berryish touch in the aroma, with a touch of malts and lemon juice in the back. It’s fruity on the palate, thin, with a soft carbonation. Some lemon and milky sourness. Long cherry finish with a touch of milky sourness. Refreshing and tasteful. 140927

lusikka (6347) - Tampere, FINLAND - AUG 7, 2014
Draught @ O’Hara?s, Tampere. Pours a dark ruby red colour with a small head. Aroma of cherries, gooseberry bush and some wood. Flavour of rich tart cherry pie notes, cherry tree, mild toffee notes and herbs. Nice acidity as well. Light bodied. Nice sharp acidic finish with cherry tartness. Refreshing and simple. Yeah it’s mild, but it works very well here.
