10th December 2011
Bright clear red - amber beer, fluffy off white head. Light hoppy nose. Light palate, inevitably a bit thin. Semi dry. Nice fresh hops - mild pine and marmalade orange. Trace of black tea. Mild minerals. Mild hop bitterness in the aftertaste. Decent low abv beer but it is thin.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: MAR 16, 2012 On tap at BrewDog Nottingham. Dark red with a decent head. Pleasant aroma of grapefruit, syrup and hops. Aroma gives way to a taste that is far more bitter than the ABV would have you believe. Long bitter finish. However, I found it hard to drink - the quality of the aroma didnít quite translate into the flavour department, which was a bit washed out. Still, the best lower alcohol beer Iíve ever had.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
0.33l bottle from BrewDog Webshop. This one pours a crystal clear mild-cola brown body with a medium sized beige head. Aroma is malty with a good dash of american hops, tones of something light burned. Rubber perhaps? And hints of beef stock. A average carbonation level and a somewhat thin oily mouthfeel on this one. Lots of burned tones in the favor as well. Could just be the hops confusing my buds, because there is a lot of them here. It somehow reminds me of drinking warm sparkling mineral water. Dry, not mouthdrying, but dry. Long bitter and kinda sweetish aftertaste. Drinkable as a alternative, not my first choice. 26.01.2012

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle, courtesy of Kai-Sindre but actually from BrewDog, who messed up the bottle count on a mail order so we got this for free - thanks guys! :-D Shared with BBGTC. Pours a caramel brown body with a small white head. Nose is grassy earthy tones (Chinook? Sooo similar, at least...) Taste is dry grassy hops, hints of caramel and peaches. Light bodies, balanced and rather nice. Dry mouthfeel, which suits perfectly. This is really a good and fresh low alcohol - so why isnít it in that category? Strange.
