Intense biurbon and vanilla aroma. Clear dark brown colour, okay lasting head. Taste also strong bourbon, vanilla, also lots of smoke, hints of peat, toffee, caramel. Lacks BODY!!! Watery, thrown off by such flavours without a decent backbone to support it. Hard to drink yet low in ABV. I got alcohol notes as well. Not my pint of beer and the pricetag nailed it.

Bottle pour@Braukunst Live ’15, tesekkürler to Werckmeister’s Mistress. Purplish brown, whispy pour. Heavy bourbon vanilla, apricot brandy doused biscuit dough and coconut milk in aroma. Delves into a light-bodied array of pleasing dessert flavours/perfumes reminiscent of Pim’s Cakes dunked in hop-curated orchard fruit honey, muscovado and Jim Beam BBQ bourbon chocolate. Quite well done at this affordable abv ransom really, while at the same time suffering from that fascinating BrewDog "overload of precisely engineered flavours turn into a vaporised perfume" PoMo phenomenon.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Mahagony brown colour with a light creamy tan head. On the nose aromas of raisin, vanilla, wood, wet leather, dark fruits like sweet redcurrant and chocolate arise. A whif of metal occurs as well but fades very quickly away. Light slick with a medium to full body and softly carbonated. Bourbon vanilla chocolate sweetness is noticeable up front with a light fruit-herbal bitterness lingering on the back of the palate. Harmonic and lasting finish.

Brown beer, beige head. Nose is caramel and dried fruit dominated by bourbon. Flavor has the same characteristics as the nose, but with more pronounced caramel and warming booze in the finish. Lingering christmas pudding.

Bottle from Humulus et Fermentum. Pours fairly clear chestnut brown, small beige head. Aroma of soft dark brown sugar, some frehsly cut wood and a very slight green apple touch. Initially toffee sweet, some rough smoke, raisins, prunes and roast.. Slightly metallic. Some rich vanilla bourbon flavour smooths out the palate,

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Keg at Brewdog Nottingham. A deep ruby red colour with a fizzy tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, sweet vanilla, toffee, almonds and brown sugar. Taste of roasted and toasted malts, chocolate, vanilla, almond, raisin, spice and a hint of smoke. Light bodied, soft carbonation and a smooth texture. A sweet toasted malt finish. A beautiful beer with great flavours, so easy drinking. Shame it’s so light and doesn’t pack a punch like other similar Brewdog beers.
