COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

The beer is a 5.8% barrel-aged baby scotch ale called Bourbon Baby, which is the ideal accompaniment to this burger as the honey notes and spicy sweetness meld beautifully with the rich beef and tangy BBQ sauce. Bourbon Baby is light bodied and low ABV and packed with toasted shortcake and blossom honey flavours. We threw a load of First Gold, Willamette and Mt Hood hops at this beer and then barrel aged it for added complexity. The barrel ageing adds a demonic, dark vanilla twist. Rich brown sugar, hints of smoke, spice, chocolate and raisins are just some of the multitude of flavours that have developed.

Bottle - Light grains and chocolate notes, with some barrel sweetness. Deep maroon with a beige head. Lots of barrel and bourbon notes, vanilla, caramel, chocolate and a nice rich finish. Quite big for the relatively low ABV.

Bottle at Grünerlřkka Brygghus during Oslo Beer Week 2014. Dark brown body with a small tanned head. Chocolate aroma with bourbon, oak, raisin. Taste of bourbon, vanilla, strong coffee, light anise, good roasty malt bitterness, short chocolate and bourbon aftertaste. Quite nice.

Pours dark brown with slight red tint. Not quite porter black, but close. Nose is crazy vanilla and oak, straight out of the barrel. Quite light, what you’d expect from a Scotch ale, but with a really heavy vanilla flavor on top, with dry oakiness that’s quite interesting.

Butelka 0.33 Barwa brązowa z rubinowymi refleksami. Piana niska, szybko znika. Goryczka niska, trunek wodnisty. Duże rozczarowanie.

Bottle - Dark brown color with a fleeting beige head, no lacing - Aroma is very complex, roasted malt, chocolate, toffee, soy sauce, coffee, bbq, cherry, bourbon and vanilla - Flavor of soy sauce, dark chocolate and hearty hops - light body, light/medium bitterness, watery, fizzy carbonation, bitter chocolate finish - Very pleasant aroma, Flavor and mouthfeel are disappointing interesting try

Sample from bottle in the Malt & Humle tent at Gladmatfestivalen 2014, Stavanger. Black colour, tan head. Medium roasty aroma and flavour, distinct notes of bourbon oak cask throughout, but far from extreme. For a BrewDog beer, this one is smooth and easy to drink. Nice. Will buy again, and rerate.

Bottle thanks to Baldy... Pours dark, murky brown with a small beige head. Nose is full of spice and coconut with some heavy bitter chocolate. Bourbon stands out nicely without being crazy. Loving the dense amount of coconut in this. Taste is toasted coconut through and through. Nice bitter chocolate with a nice dose of spice on the finish. Carbonation is lively which makes this even more sessionable. Bourbon is a big winner here. Cracking stuff
