Bottled. A dark amber beer with a thin lazing head. The aroma is very sweet and malty with strong notes of caramel and hops. The flavor is very sweet with strong notes of hops, lending it notes of peaches, citrus, and elderflowers, on a strong caramel malty background, the alcohol evident tickling the tongue, leading to a dry, bitter, and hoppy finish. Thank yespr for sharing.

From cask at Blackfriars. Pours clear and golden orange with a small lacing white head. solid wineous aroma with a distinct fruity hops note. Sweet malty at first with a dense hoppy bitterness following. Carries some solid fruity hops flavour along. Smooth malty and hoppy dense finish. Lovely balance.

Bottled (thanks to the craziest bartender ever!). Ambery golden colour with small white head. Aroma is fruity and flowery hops along with some slight alcohol and caramel malty notes. Flavour is quite much the same in a rather nice balance. Sharing a bottle on two is just about good for this, as it is indeed quite hard on ya.

Bottle. The aroma is caramelly from malt, some paper. Clear amber colour. Small frothy white head. The flavour is quite hoppy, and quite rough, but OK. Has a little menthol-like freshness in the finish. Peppery aftertaste with a little yeast. Gets too rough for me after a while.

Amber color; creamy head. The aroma is hoppy and fruity, light, in the beginning; it disappears quickly, becoming more earthy, with caramel. Very good body structure, round mouthfeel; it has an excellent caramel flavor, immediately contrasted by the violent hopping, a bit sweet but mainly resiny; the flavor is lightly earthy too, adding some complexity. Long final, good mix of caramel, residual sugars, resiny hops. Extremely solid and satisfying.

Clear deep amber with an off white head. Quite hoppy aroma with hints of toasted malt and caramel. Flavour was hoppy though with caramel, roasted malt and fruity notes. Finished bitter.
