Bottle from Birratrovo, Como
Black color. Aroma of dark caramel and a bit of treacle; hints of chocolate and warming winter punch; alcohol. Full bodied; good flavor of caramel with some chocolate; moderate sweetness (fits well); strong expected bitterness; the alcohol presence is too strong and spoils this beer.
Too boozy. And way too expensive.

larsga (7117) - Oslo, NORWAY - DEC 16, 2014
Small brown head. Opaque black body. Toffee and whisky aroma with chocolatey plum notes. Dry earthy toffee and plastic taste with chocolatey spice notes. Full-bodied. Mild, flat, slightly hot and powdery mouthfeel. Sweet earthy dusty chocolatey aftertaste with toffee and syrup. Earthy musty flavours dominate, with linoleum and old books, but it’s still nice and interesting. A sippable beer, but a bit over the top now two years later. (0.33l bottle, I forget where from.)
