3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Furseth (1866) - Kungälv, SWEDEN - DEC 11, 2011
Bottle:Red/brown colour, almost flatbrown head. Aroma is dominated of caramelly, dry fruits, chocolate and flowers , a bit brown sirup too. Flavor had a nice smokey/Chocolate mouth feeling, there was raisins, and caramelly, and fruits and citrus. Medium body, medium chocolate/coffee finish. Nice!

Bottle. This beer manages to be a well balanced porter, even with chili added. Although I’m not sure if all things added really makes it a better beer. Still good though.

Secondo me? Una mezza belinata, una porter tipica resa atipica da note stonate inserite per scherzo.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 _angst_ (1745) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - DEC 27, 2011
330 ml bottle bought @ Systembolaget and consumed on December 23. Pours dark brown with a mocha head that quickly dissipates leaving some trace on the glass. Smell is slightly sweet with dusty cacao, lightly roasted malts and some molasses. Taste is bitter with roasted malts, bitter chocolate, some cheap coffee, hints of metal and burnt sugar. Finish is rather dry, bitter and metallic.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 finol (1691) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - DEC 3, 2011
Bottle from Systembolaget.
Alice is a nice porter and so is this with the added orange, cacao and chili. These spices are clear in the taste but a bit too much so, giving a lack of stringency and beeing a bit over the top.
3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20 markas101 (1668) - Sheffield, South Yorkshire, ENGLAND - DEC 28, 2011
Draught, The Sheffield Tap. Deep black, cola appearance. Raisin and sweet coffee aroma. Sweet flavour, some oak and rum come through. Syrupy finish with pine resin. Earlier Rating: 12/7/2011 Total Score: 3.4 33 cl bottle, Sheffield, UK via Brewdog online shop. Dense brown-black, thin head. Slightly sour/bitter coffee and resin aroma. Medium body, more citrus sourness, then smokey bitter finish. Better as it warms up.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 visionthing (1667) - Oslo, NORWAY - NOV 11, 2011
Bottle. Black with a minimal light brown head. Unfamiliar mixture of aromas, but I think recognize the cacao, along with some unknown spices. Some sweetness at first followed by a dry and bitter finish. Pleasant porter.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 TheJestersBeer (1667) - SWEDEN - DEC 31, 2011
330ml bottle, as Winter Porter.
Pours a deep, dark mahogany, with a brown head.
Aromas contain roasted malts, chocolate, vanilla, caramel, licorice, chili and hops.
Off-dry, medium body and bitterness, quite low CO2.
Malty, roasted taste, chocolate, vanilla, quite spicy, hops, smoke/ash, coffee beans, a hint of chili.
Vaguely sour (might be the chili fooling around here), and a bit too light bodied for the amount of flavours packed in there. (2011-12-30)
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 wyzzywyz22 (1644) - Wirral, Merseyside, ENGLAND - DEC 22, 2011
On Tap@The Brew Dog Bar, Camden. Black as night with a middling tan head. Roasted malts, dark choc and spices in the aroma. A similar tale followed in the flavour with the addition of some restrained hop bitterness. Body a little on the thin side, but certainly one of the better xmas beers to pass my lips. Enjoyed it.
