COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A re-worked Alice Porter especially for Christmas. With orange zest, cacao and a tiny bit of chilli.

The perfect beer for Turkey, The Queen’s Speech, boring relativies and boozed up Pictionary.

Merry Christmas.

Rune (4924) - Tromsø, - NOV 28, 2011
330ml bottle from Vinmonopolet Sentrum Tromsø. Rocky, fawn-colour head, gradually diminishing. Nice, rosewood coloured body. Cocoa powder to the nose, dry and roasted. Flavour is a bit out of tune with spices, roasted coffee malts and a bite of tartness towards the ending. Feels rather watered and empty on the swallow. Drinkable, not the usual high BrewDog standard, though (at home 18.11.2011).

330 ml bottle from Vinmonopolet Sentrum Tromsø shared by Rune at Beer session XVIII 030112. Very christmassy bottle design in typical Brew Dog style. Almost black body with beige head and dotted lacing. Aroma at first resembles the well known and well liked one typical of Brew Dog beers with an added Xmas twist but sharp hints of yeast conspire to weaken the intended cocoa impression. Flavour does not match aroma well and is metallic and almost blood-like as well as more sour than bitter even if there are some hints of spices and roasted malts. Feels dry but watered like wetted paper in the mouth. Especially dissappointing considering the normal standard of the brewer.

Bottled 330ml (Petalax, BB 09/2012)
Deep brown color, steady beige head. Aroma has toasted malts, some earth and tartness, chocolate. Medium-bodied. Toasted malty, a bit earthy cellary, hints of soya sauce and then black chocolate. There is some light fruity chili in the finish. Not the most "common" Brewdog.
