COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
keg/ bottle 2012 Prototypes release.
A 10% decadent and indulgent Imperial Russian Stout. Brewed with a copious amount of dark malts, infused with coffee beans during the boil and after fermentation and aged on cacao nibs, vanilla pods and toasted oak chips. This opulent whirl of chocolate, coffee, dark malts and hops even rivals the most colourful of imperial Faberge eggs. Originally created to celebrate the Russian Royal Family, this is a fitting tribute with which to toast your own empire.

Bottle at home. Black pour, creamy tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, bread, tobacco, ash, coffee and licorice. Flavor is quite bitter, creamy, sweet malts, full bodied and very smooth. Very nice brew.

@Stordirren: stor tydlig doft och smak av kaffe. Vätskan är ganska mjuk och lagom fyllig. Fin balans och trevligt eftersmak. Inte alls illa. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone ---- Soberness not garanteed!

Black pour with a dark brown head .. amazing looking brew with light lacing .... aroma of hot peppers I have no idea why but I swear of it .... roasted chilis with coffee bean and light vanilla .... taste is of cocoa nibs, toasted oak, chocolate, coffee and light vanilla ..... mouthfeel is bitter like 100% cacao .... has a slight bitter/burn to it .... abv hidden well .. definitely dark and roasted as they come .... has a bitter dry lingering finish

Everything I want from an IRS. Boozy, woody, dark chocolatey aroma; bitter-sweet coffee/chocolate on the pallet and hints of dark fruits and vanilla. A little alcholic rawness - maybe one to age for a couple of years

Kolsvart med stort ljusbrunt skum som ligger kvar runt glaset! Doftar massor med kaffe och lite choklad! Mycket smak av mörk choklad, rökigt och beskt kaffe!

My first Russian. Powerful with hidden sweetness behind the cocoa. Very delicious for a sweet tooth like me. Dark with solid but short lived foam and a bit of dark malted taste, slight alcohol on the taste as well. Much cocoa, a good thing!

Big thanks to people at the MBR for the sample! Not too big, will rerate. Daaark pitch-like with a small brown head. Mild, slightly sticky malty aroma with notes of chocolate and raisiness. Slightly sticky, roasty sweetish stout, a bit oily but not as overbearing as some of this big guys can be. Very nice, and I hope to rerate it soon.

06.04.2014. 0,33l Bottle. Vinmonopolet Egersund. Black colour with dark brown thick creamy head. OMG. This beer is so rich! I spilled some drops at the table and its really sticky. Its sweet and it is dense. Aroma is coffe, dark bittre chocolate and alcohol. Dark malts with very dry notes. Some alcohol sweetness as well. Very nice. Well balanced also. Strong rich beer with lots of strong dry malty flavours. mmmmmmm!!!!
