On tap at La Bona Pinta in Barcelona. Pours a black body with an inch thick, very dense and creamy, dark brown head that dissipates slowly and leaves a gorgeous lacing. Aroma is dark, malty chocolates with a good amount of roasts, some bitter cocoa nibs and coffee, light vanilla notes, and some dry oak. Flavor is nice. Lots of dark chocolates, some bitter cocoa nibs, roasts, light coffees, vanilla, oak, and a touch of fruit. Finishes dry and roasty with plenty of dark chocolates, a nice bitterness, and just a slight acidity. Lengthy aftertaste following a creamy, full body and a very soft, moderate carbonation. Overall, a really nice imperial stout. Big, rich, and bold with a solid bitterness and some pleasant complexities. Really good beer.

Bouteille 33cl, BB 10-03-2014. Noire huile de moteur, col crémeux moka laissant un léger doré sur le verre. Arôme est profond au niveau chocolat le tout tirant sur un pointe tourbe subtile suivi de torréfié. Le café reste bien présent. Palais épais avec ici aussi un malt chocolaté en dominance qui est accompagné par pas mal de grains. Le tout laisse une fin de bouche légèrement amer venant du chocolat La fin de bouche s’accompagne d’une légère pointe de tourbe voire fumé venant probablement du malt chocolaté. Bien complexe dont les 10% deviennent presque de trop au bout d’une bouteille. Le houblonnage quant à lui sert à rajouter un soupçon d’amertume et brève note de citronné.

Pours completely black with a medium, staying, creamy, brown head. Aroma is light dusty, lots of cocoa, coffee, nutty and roasted. Light vinious as well. Medium carbonation, nice dry and creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet, dry, roasted, fat chocolate, dry cocoa, mild vinious. Yum.

Black beer, big dark brown to gray creamy head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: mocha, coffee, dried fruits, vanilla, earthy, lots of chocolate. MF: soft carbon, full body, creamy texture. Taste: chocolate, dark caramel, chocolate milk, mocha, vanilla, pretty sugary. Aftertaste: mocha, cocoa powder, bitter dark chocolate, bit of alcohol, sourish touch, caramel. Flavour bomb! Good think we could share this with 3.

0,33L bottle. Nice, black old motor oil color. Light grain coffe aroma. Taste is varios and interestnig. Mute and stout. Overcooked sugar tone gives sweeteness. Sweet sour cappucino or hot chocolate on middle. Rotten vegetable finish and medium bitter choco flavor on mouth few minutes after drink. Interesting. Worth a try.

[5/4/13] Draught at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2013. Black with a light brown head. Roasty aroma of coffee beans and cocoa. Pretty bitter flavor with coffee, cocoa and a bit of chocolate sweetness. Medium to full-bodied.

Pitch black beer with a lasting brown head. Cocoa aroma, dark chocolate, figs, raisins, prunes, licorice, heavy roasted, licorice, tar, milky notes, some bitter hops, vinous, spicy notes. Flavor from cocoa and dark chocolate, anise, licorice, prunes, heavy roasted, tar, some leather, oily, smoke notes, ash, bitter hops.

Draught at CBC 2013. Pitch black coloured with a small brown head. Sweet and roasted aroma of cocoa powder and dark chocolate. Sweet and roasted flavour of dark chocolate and cocoa powder. Roasted finish of cocoa powder.

Sample @ CBC. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, chocolate, coffee, wood, cocoa, vegetables and hops.
