COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
keg/ bottle 2012 Prototypes release.
A 10% decadent and indulgent Imperial Russian Stout. Brewed with a copious amount of dark malts, infused with coffee beans during the boil and after fermentation and aged on cacao nibs, vanilla pods and toasted oak chips. This opulent whirl of chocolate, coffee, dark malts and hops even rivals the most colourful of imperial Faberge eggs. Originally created to celebrate the Russian Royal Family, this is a fitting tribute with which to toast your own empire.

Bottle I got in Ohio. Pours oily jet black with a brown foamy non-lasting head leaving little lacing around the glass. Aroma of dark chocolate, espresso and alcohol. Taste is of dark chocolate, vanilla, liquorice, coffee and a little alcohol on the finish. Sticky oily texture, medium carbonation.

12oz bottle. Nice cocoa aroma, with a touch of wood. Jet black color, with dark tan head that lingers for a while on the edges. Decadent flavor is pretty accurate. Well balanced sweetness with the coffee, chocolate, and wood flavor. Full bodied. A very nice RIS!

Tap from Brewdog Glasgow. This is from my notes of Oct 24 2014: "Beautiful appearance. Black underneath a gorgeous thick coffee head. Then...yum! Rich, rich beer. Roll over tongue and taste that choc - Lots of choc. then booze kicks in. More!" One of my favourite beers, ever. Judging by the high scores it’s a big favourite with Ratebuddies too, but -bizarrely - it seems to have been forgotten by Brewdog completely. This could be easily one of their core beers. Revive please! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

0,33 bottle @ Valentin - Curious Bierkneipe, Volos. A super choco coffee Imperial stout. Aroma of coffee, very thick almost sticky on the glas and nice brown head, taste full of black bitter chocolate & coffe with full, thick body, nice carbonation and looong bitter aftertaste. Alcohol is well hidden but explodes the whole experience just right

Bottle 1 years after expiration date. Pitch black, thick and oily with beige creamy head. In aroma lots of black and roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, vanilla. Dried fruits present due the fact it was old bottle, very nice. In taste dense, full bodied, sweet with nice roastiness and good chocolate flavours mixed. Oily texture, full body, soft carbonation and almost no alcohol makes this beer just fantastic. Great Imperial Stout!
