COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
keg/ bottle 2012 Prototypes release.
A 10% decadent and indulgent Imperial Russian Stout. Brewed with a copious amount of dark malts, infused with coffee beans during the boil and after fermentation and aged on cacao nibs, vanilla pods and toasted oak chips. This opulent whirl of chocolate, coffee, dark malts and hops even rivals the most colourful of imperial Faberge eggs. Originally created to celebrate the Russian Royal Family, this is a fitting tribute with which to toast your own empire.

Pours a thick dark brown with a dark brown foam. At first it’s like a good RIS. Then it warms. Wow! Eventually it’s like coffee mixed with baking cocoa and a little caramel . Pretty intense. Love it!

Bottle @ home. Refined aroma, quite surprising for a stout. Dark brown top, lasting for a short lived moment. 10 percent but you won’t feel the alcohol. Well balanced taste with subtle shades. A good mix of flavor starting with soy sauce towards coffee and cocoa. This beer definitely got its own character. Well worth trying.

Pitch black color with a brown head. Nose:cocoa, butter, chocolate, coffee, dark roasted malts, spices, smokey, ash, bit peat.taste:chocolate, cocoa, coffee, bit overwhelming, alcohol punch. MF :bitter bitter bitter! Soft, medium carbonation. Super long lasting finish. Adhesive body. Overall bit overdone (as promised). Tasty, but overpowered, extreme, too much of the good.

Poured from 330mL bottle [batch 046 bb 14/02/19]. Jet black with a creamy medium dark brown head. Quite bitter with roast malt and a little chocolate and coffee coming through. Chocolate has a bit of cocoa powder quality to it. Mild dryness and a tinge of alcohol.

Bottle, 33cL. Home. A pitch black beer with a medium brown head, poorly lasting. Roasty coffee aroma, herbs, chocolate, spices. Medium to heavy sweet, medium dry bitter. Full body, medium oily texture, soft crabonation, sweet finish, alcohol and herbal note. Overall, delicious coffee aroma, smooth. Calming.

UPDATED: DEC 25, 2014 Perverse aristocracy among beers. Could compare only with similar perversity. It is not polite to describe this art. Holy extreme. Pretentious and ingenious.

Very dark chocolately foam above a dark black beer. Almost honey like viscosity and overwhelming tastes of equally coffee, chocolate and roasted malt. Nicely balanced stout.
