COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
keg/ bottle 2012 Prototypes release.
A 10% decadent and indulgent Imperial Russian Stout. Brewed with a copious amount of dark malts, infused with coffee beans during the boil and after fermentation and aged on cacao nibs, vanilla pods and toasted oak chips. This opulent whirl of chocolate, coffee, dark malts and hops even rivals the most colourful of imperial Faberge eggs. Originally created to celebrate the Russian Royal Family, this is a fitting tribute with which to toast your own empire.

Solid choc/coffee grounds type stout - high octane - boozy (not surprising) - not quite as smooth as others but a decent dessert beer.

Pours pitch black with a rich white head. The aroma is dominated by dark chocolate with hints of toffee and alcohol. A sweet and sour taste. Perhaps nor the best RIS I had, but still pretty decent.

bottle @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Aroma of chocolate malt. Opaque brown/black with a good dark brown head, hanging streamers of lace. Taste is chocolate malt with a little smoke and coffee that adds alcohol in the swallow, and then light hops in a long finish. A big, but tasty brew.

From a bottle. Pours jet black with a thin tan head, sweet cocoa aroma, no hint of the huge alcohol content, amazing lingering chocolate and rich mouth feel. Great beer
