Also known as ’Dead Pony Club’.

Bottle and keg: Filtered

Ingredients: Spring Blend, Cara and Crystal Malts; Simcoe, Citra and HBC hops.

This Californian Pale Ale packs a huge hoppy punch. A 21st century low amplitude, high voltage hop hit. Some people say slow is good. We believe fast is better. Being shot from a Hoppy Howitzer beats the hell out of trotting round a submissive paddock. That’s why the internal combustion engine got mounted onto two wheels. Screw down the throttle and listen for that dull banshee howl floating back from those malted mufflers. Drink fast, live fast, sleep late and rip it up down empty streets. This pale ale is chopped, tuned and ready to roll. Fuel up and hold tight, this little thoroughbred kicks like a mule. Perfect for drinking by the bottle, case or even keg.

330 ml bottle. Pours amber with an average white head. Strong hoppy aroma of flowers, citrus and stone fruits. Light to medium watery body with soft carbonation. Starts with low sweetness and bitterness and finishes quickly with moderate bitterness. A nice light ale.

Copenhagen 16/5 2016. 33 cl bottle from Kvickly. The usual chaotic with lots text, a bowling running dog in a pictogram and a little stamp demanding Equity for punks. Pours slightly hazy orangeish yellow with full white head. Settles as 1 cm thick layer of foam. Nice lacing. Aroma is sweet and distinct. Exotic fruit like Passion Fruit, peach and mango. Some fermentation giving some slightly rotten odeur. Some citric notes but not dominating. Soft carbonation and watery palate. Flavor is balanced between sweetness and sourness and bitterness. But quite diluted and watery. Refreshing but a bit on the watery side.

On tap. Pours a clear dark amber with light head. Light aromas of pineapple and bready malts. Flavors are pretty much the same, a little stronger, with a bit of toast and cardboard. OK for 3.8%

Loving these wee cans. Lovely. Easy going down, nicely hoppy and full of flavour, while not too bitter.

I do not wax on poetically about beer but I do know the quality of a beer once tasted. This review is not about my tastes but reinforces the numbers, which are arbitrary.

From can at appellation wines. Clear amber. Nose of pine resin, fresh sweat. Dry and bitter on the palate. Lots going on for the low abv.
